Resumo: Activities and mission of the organization:
The institute offers information, advice, therapy, revalidation, assistance, education and care in the areas of education, day activities and living to children and adults with a physical disability.

Location of the project:
The organization is located in a little town (5000 people live there), situated between . It’s a small town and that’s the reason why it’s not so difficult to integrate in it. Our institute is about 1,5 kilometre from the marketplace.

Office environment:
It's a very big institute with different locations outside the main institute.

Benefit from the volunteer:
Helping the disabled in organising their personal activities

Perfil: -be social and empathic
-willing to learn
-being communicative (not introverted)
-being assertive (daring to say no)
-being flexible with working hours
-willing to learn Dutch, only the 1st month English will be spoken
-Age: 17-30 years old

Tarefas: -assisting the disabled in the residential group (no care tasks)
-assisting outings
-assisting in leisure activities (ex. with cooking, sporting, ...)
-Sherborne is often used as motion pedagogics/therapy, also by volunteers
-a handy volunteer might assist with occupational therapy
-assist children with relaxation therapy or massages
-assist toddlers with outings during school holidays
