Resumo: The host organization is located at the western end of the plain of spain, on the right bank of the River. Its average altitude is 60 meters. It accounts currently with 30,508 inhabitants
The antiquity of the city is demonstrated by the finding in its term remains of Roman villas although the origin of the population is Muslim.

Tarefas: The volunteer will support and participate in the following activities:
+ Participate in briefings, programming and evaluation activities
+ Participate in the preparation of activities along with Monitors (shopping, preparation facilities, etc...)
+ Actively participate in implementing of the specific activities of the Recreation Room and Youth Centre
+ Support individualized interventions that educators realize with certain minors

It is important to reiterate that all activities, in which The volunteer will provide his/her support and effort, will be carried out with the advice and under the supervision of the professional staff of our organization. However, according to the working methodology and philosophy, The volunteer, depending on his/her interests, abilities and aptitudes (under agreement) will be able to realise individual activities in accordance with the objectives of the Centres.
The activities in which The volunteer will be located may be chosen by him/her as long as he/she can remain for some time in each workshop/activity until to be able to function with ease.

Horário: The volunteer’s activities will begin on 01st of May 2014 to end on the 31st of December 2014 being 8 months of volunteer activities.
The schedule of The volunteer will not exceed 35 hours a week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 09h30 to 13h30, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 16h00 to 20h30, Tuesday and Thursday from 16h00 to 20h00).
The schedule of the service can be modified depending on the needs. The volunteer will receive a monthly programming of his/her activities, which must be approved by the professional staff. Thus, the tasks of The volunteer entail 35 hours of volunteer work taking into consideration that the Spanish lessons are envisaged within the weekly schedule.

Formação: LINGUISTIC TRAINING The volunteer may start or improve his/her knowledge of Spanish along his/her EVS as he/she will receive sessions of Foreign Language twice a week. The training will be adapted to his/her level of Spanish. The Language Training will be provided outside the uptime.
