Resumo: The project will take place in one of the biggest cities in Poland according to the amount of inhabitants. It is located in the middle of Poland. Weather conditions are according to the temperate climatic zone (The temperature in winter is about –5 degree and it snows very often; autumn and spring are warmer, the days are sunny and the sky is often clear). The city is an industrial city with electronic and textile companies and factories due to its history. But despite this fact in our city there are many universities,colleges, academies, polytechnic. The city is becoming more and more a cultural and consumer city with lots of cultural places,shopping centers, historic monuments, beautiful parks and others.

Our organisation is co-operating with other NGO in our city. We make contacts to work together and to keep companionable contacts, of course, with another women’s organisations, non formal groups of sociology students, with ecological and citizen organisations. The co-operation between organisations gives different advantages. Our volunteers can participate in many events and activities. For example: dance workshops, yoga, drum music rehearsals, painting lessons, other special events etc.Volunteers will live in flat shared by students (with the common kitchen and bathroom). All habitants will establish principles of the common living at the beginning of the stay.

Perfil: We'd like to host volunteers interested in one or more of the following subjects: citizen activity, sociology, human rights, sex discrimination, gender, media, psychology, education or management. Type of sending organisation, country, sex and age doesn't matter. Courageous, open, communicative, active, responsible and optimistic person would fit in our organisation and feel comfortable in this project. Project requires also quite a lot of writing, that’s why a volunteer who enjoys to write would be the best match. If a number of candidates will be more than we can host we will try to choose the volunteer according to the volunteer profile above and the profile of our organisation. We will be in contact with candidates before the final decision in order to make the person would feel that this project is comfortable and suitable for him/her. We tend to contact with volunteer before his arrival to the city to recognise his expectations, needs and expectations.

Tarefas: Short term EVS project relates to active Women. By Hosting volunteers we want to exchange knowledge and infuse the activities with inter-cultural character. We also aim at collaboration and creating relations with and between local and foreign volunteers. We would like to integrate EVS volunteers in all our activities and in the local life through relations with other organizations and people who we collaborate with. Volunteers will be a part of working team , though they will have certain autonomy. Their tasks will include promotion of the Festival ideas among youngsters as well as preparation of one to tree elements strongly related with theme of Festival: panel/exhibition or performance.

Participation time : 30 - 35h per week, including language training. Free time: 2 days a week usually Saturday and Sunday. Rarely some activities will take place on weekends as Festival is set over the weekend. In such cases volunteers will be able to take days off during the week. The activities produced as a part of the Festival will strengthen and extend the importance of the inter-cultural European issues. This event will be a strong learning experience for EVS participants as well as an initiative which they can strongly influence and co-create. Voluneers will have weekly meetings, mentoring and coaching support that will help to keep EVS project on a successful track.
