Resumo: The organization section is looking for 4 volunteers to work with our members and local young people for 12 months to inspire in stimulating personal resources of youngsters and design activities which contribute to the personal and professional development of young people.

At the same time the volunteers will help the organization staff and members to refresh and enlarge activities for young people in our section from the town.

The volunteers are encouraged to develop their own project ideas, but at the same time to develop together with us the areas that the local young people are most interested in.

The activities from this project will be centered around:
- identifying the individual needs of young people and adapt the schedule to the needs found (for example: creating a development plan together with the the teenager and finding suitable non-formal methods for increasing emotional intelligence),
- developing the competencies of local young people in order to be able and enjoy doing and/or organizing activities besides school (e.g. through language cafes, graphic or computer workshops, teamgames, etc.),
- guiding them raising awareness of the skills obtained and their capitalization by fulfilling their dreams, and
- increasing the free time opportunities for local younsgters through regular activities in the centre (e.g. developing different clubs depending of the interests of the EVS volunteers).

PROJECT AIMS:
− to empower the local youngsters and increase their involvement in community matters;
− to provide adequate vocational skills training opportunities for local teenagers;
− to provide life skills development opportunities through non-formal education methods;
− to promote non-formal education methods as a mechanism to develop youngsters personal and professional;
− to promote and diversify in- and outdoor leisure activities;
− to emphasis the importance of intercultural learning.

Perfil: We are looking for persons who are open minded, flexible and who finds it easy to socialize with youngsters. It is an advantage if the volunteers are outgoing and have an active approach towards youngsters. We also appreciate applications from volunteers who are interested in environmental and cultural themes, non-formal education – in general and playing activities (in- and outdoor) – in particular. We are also encouraging applications from young people who might face different obstacles, such as social obstacles, economic difficulties, cultural differences, geographical obstacles.
Age: 18-30 years old

Tarefas: At the Centre volunteers will be working to inspire and motivate young people 15-30 years old to create and take part in the centre activities. The volunteers will be also working to empower the local youngsters for engaging themselves in different kinds of in- and outdoor activities and arrangements. The tasks will depend on individual skills she/he has to offer and ideas and interests the volunteer might have. The volunteers can choose to work on the areas she/he prefers such as culture, environment, publishing flyers, brochures, creative workshops, sport events etc. The timetable could look like this:
• Organizing and coordinating workshops for teenagers from the town depending on the interest of EVS volunteers and that of the local young people– 35%
• Working in the office: preparing presentations in schools and in other NGOs (e.g. promoting EVS, the project and volunteering to local young people), working with the young people in order to organize an event or activities for the local community, filling data on organization’s website, Facebook page or volunteers blog, creating promoting materials (flyers, newsletters, etc.), evaluating and disseminating activity or project results – 35%
• Developing, organizing and implementing individual projects (such as youth camps, children summer camps, outdoor events etc.) – 30%

Condições: · Food and Accommodation: The volunteer will live in an apartment with the other volunteers from the project. They will share cooking, washing, laundry and social facilities. A monthly food allowance will be provided.

· Local Transport: The transport charges for the project work will be met. This will not include outings and visits of the volunteer on her/his own initiatives.

· Language training: We will provide language lessons. The number of weekly courses will be set up in accordance to volunteers needs.
· Volunteer allowance: The volunteers will receive each a monthly allowance.
