Resumo: The city center has about 70 000 residents and the town a total of 130 000. An average city of that size. The town is situated at the south shore, the fifth largest lake in Europe. The city host the world's largest digital / computer festival. Our town is also called the birth town of matches. The foundation of the factory is still a nice place to visit. 12,000 students attend the University and almost 70 countries are represented. The surrounding area is also known for the lakes, nature, the new conserthall Spira, the island and different sports in high level as for example ice hockey, floor ball, canoeing, football, and swimming.

The accommodation is situated 10 minutes by bus from the city center in a suburb. He/She will get a travel card. Volunteers live in an apartment with a private room and share the kitchen, bath and toilet with 1-2 other students from the University. TV, broadband/wifi is free. No smoking indoors and no noise after 22.00. This is a good and safe environment where students from different countries stay. There are gyms and other spaces that residents can use for free. In the surroundings there is also an Outdoor Arena for sports and an indoor swimming pool, library.

It´s close to nature. These are the benefits. The disadvantage may be that the other students may not use / speak Swedish that much. When she/he is working there is a kitchen/microwave to use for cooking. On other time he/she have to use kitchen in the apartment. There is also a possibility to get lunch-coupons or make a deal with a nearby school. Free time activities are sometime for free but we can also make good deals with places like gym, swimming pool, watersports etc. We will invite the Volunteer to different activities as go fishing, make smaller trips, join one in the staff or Social mentor visiting/staying in a cottage, see a concert and take part in Swedish holidays (other typical events).

The project (workplace) will mainly take place at a central Meeting Point for those over 16. Here stay mainly young people with different interests such as dance, music and influence issues. There are sometimes people who borrow rooms and who are over 50 years old but this is outside the operating time which is at 2 pm until 9 pm. The venue contains new and fresh spaces on two floors with activity areas such as dance hall, studio, office and concert hall etc. All activities are drug free.

Perfil: Age: 17-30 years old

Tarefas: The Volunteer (V) will learn the language through Swedish lessons for immigrants. In the beginning the time for this will be more than in the end of the period of EVS. But we are talking 12-20 hours a week at most. There will also be some seminar/meetings with The Swedish National Board for Youth Affairs and opportunity to meet other volunteers staying in Sweden.

Non-formal skills/knowledge will be obtained by the different kind of work that is provided but also all the contacts/friends the person will get. Discussions, feedback, "learning by doing" and all other kind of self-perceived experience will also be added to the Volunteer.
This can be obtained by the different kind of activities that´s available in his/her free time and that can be new skills for the V.

All the weekly meetings with the staff and to be a part in planning, promote and carry through the activities/projects. To be active in all kind of work give her/him experiences. It is also important to use the V:s own skills and interest. In the Youth club of Brunnen we have different kind of compounds and activities and also a variation of youngsters:
*We lend or rent out recreational items
*There is a music studio (rap/hip hop)
*A group of youths that broadcasting radio
*Dancehall
