Resumo: The youth guest and seminar house is a place of regional youth work with social-pedagogic
offers for school classes and youth groups. Most of the seminars last for five days. Dealing
with the fields of group dynamics, cooperation and conflict management, nature and
environment, as well as planning of professional and life perspectives, the seminars are
attended more and more often by schools confronted with difficult social situations.
Further program subjects are
• offers for single parents, helping them mastering their social situation
• training courses for overweight youth, helping them to get a conscience for healthy
food and healthy living
• leisure time and education offers for children and youth groups e.g. adventure
pedagogics and gender specific work.
The course program is set up mainly by 14 permanently employed pedagogues in the youth
work team. In addition, the team is supported by staff members who are employed on the
basis of fees.

Perfil: The volunteer should be interested in pedagogic work with children and youth groups. For
the work with children basic knowledge of German is requested.
Age: 17 -30 years old

Tarefas: The volunteer will take part in courses and seminars and will help with the pedagogic and
logistic preparations. He/she will create own offers and can bring in own ideas. He/she will
also join school classes and groups on journeys e.g. to Berlin and will accompany a group of
single parents for a holiday week. He/she also should bring in information about her/his
home country and the everyday life of children and youth in his/her country. He/she will get
knowledge of group dynamics and pedagogic methods and intercultural learning as well as
language and computer skills. One of the tasks of the volunteer is to represent the European
Voluntary Service in the seminars and courses to give the participants the possibility to join
the EVS in future.
