Resumo:
Our office is situated in the attic of an apartment building which is located in very centre of the city. There are 7 smaller rooms each shared by 2-3 people, one meeting room, kitchen, lavatory and shower. The volunteer will have a working place in one of the offices, equipped by all standard facilities (computer etc.).
The office is the main contact place for active volunteers, trainers and leaders of our projects but also for people seeking first information about voluntary possibilities, joining information sessions, trainings and meetings. This creates busy, interactive and inspirational environment – especially in the spring and summer season.

During the project volunteer will also have an opportunity to get involved in our regional voluntary projects and campaigns. That gives him/her and opportunity to experience Czech culture in the different regions of the country with its local specifics and traditions.

Perfil: Age: 17-30 years old

Tarefas: We host two EVS volunteers during the same period in one year - usually starting in March and ending in February the following year.

The volunteers become members of the organization team and participate in all parts of the organisation life such as regular office meetings, public and promotion events etc. They will cooperate closely with project coordinators and other team members who will provide guidance and support in taken tasks within the project s/he will be involved in.

The office is run on everyday basis. Working hours of volunteers are flexible within 9 am to 5 pm. Sometimes there can be work during weekends (training, seminars) but this will be always compensated by a time off at alternative days.

The role of EVS volunteers:
Volunteers will have an opportunity to get to know the broad range of the organization activities and projects and get involved in many of them according to the personal interest although their work will be mainly focused on supporting two areas of our activities: International Volunteering and Education.

Proposed tasks for the volunteer joining International Volunteering section
Introduction of the project:
Every year the organization organize over 35-40 international voluntary workcamps across the Czech Republic where a group of local and foreign volunteers support ecological, social or cultural-historical community projects. To Czech volunteers we offer more than 2 000 voluntary projects of our partners worldwide for a period of 2 weeks up to one year.

Proposed volunteer’s tasks (flexible):

1. administrative support of international voluntary exchange (getting to know the system of exchange, updating the internal database of projects and volunteers, preparing info materials for the projects, helping with evaluation) – 35% (percentage of involvement in the activity during a year);

Condições: Accommodation
Accommodation is provided in a flat that will be shared by both EVS volunteers. Every volunteer has his/her own room with standard equipment, while kitchen, bathroom and lavatory are shared. The apartment is located in the city with a good connection to the city centre and to the office.

Food
Volunteers receive monthly allowance for food and pocket money. In the office neighbourhood there are enough food stores, cafes and restaurants.

Language training
Volunteers are welcome to join Czech language course with private teacher in formal and non-formal way throughout their stay.
