Resumo: In the City there has always been a priority for cultural and social work. Such activities are those that run year after year from the various departments of our city council to give all our people a number of opportunities for recreation, leisure and learning, equivalent to the present situation and equal opportunity of those other people who live in places of greater dimension and dynamism. .............................................................................................................
Therefore, in our town we have a number of social centers in an articulated network of 10 cultural centers. In these centers, spread across each of the parishes of our municipality, is a base to plan and carry out these activities mainly focussed on: leisure, free time, reconciliation of work and training and leisure activities, such as theater, lectures, training or workshops that focus primarily on two areas: children and the elderly. .................................................... ..
Our municipality is a municipality of rural character, around 4,500 inhabitants, where the primary sector and services are the predominant business models, especially agriculture. Moreover, the social aspect also shows typical rates of rural, with an aging population, population dispersion and transport difficulties. This is what has forced us to generate the dispersion of activities and to have this network of cultural centers. These activities are generated from the departments of social and cultural services, delivered from these departments and coordinated by facilitators enabling these activities is how we carry out these programmes. ....................
Within this environment, at the location of the ESS, is a support and participation service for these activities taking place in the cultural centers of our city council, especially those related to children and youth, ociotecas, educational workshops, camps and theme weeks.
