Resumo: Youth centre is looking for 1 EVS volunteer who is motivated to enrich the Youth Work team in the town for 12 months!

The target group of the Youth centre are youngsters between 12 and 18 years, coming from different social and educational backgrounds. The young visitors come from the town and surrounding villages and spend leisure time in and around the youth centre, supported by youth workers.

The youth centre offers a variety of indoor and outdoor activities/games and infrastructure (e.g. Youth Café, Cultural Centrum, Skateboard Park, Girls only/Boys only, Lunch Opening, Pool Billiard tournaments, DJ workstation, internet access, cooking possibility, Concert/Music facilities, Workshops, different activities etc.). Also, young people who have problems or difficulties can seek support/advice from the youth workers or can just spend their time at the youth centre.

Perfil: We would be happy to host a volunteer who
• is between 20 and 26 years old (owing to the target group)
• is interested in working with youths (12 and above) and young adults
• wants to get to know youth centre work and participate actively
• is interested in youth leisure activities, youth culture and youth-related issues
• is open-minded, friendly, enthusiastic, creative and communicative
• shows active interests in sports (soccer, basketball, skateboarding…) or creative activities (dancing, music, photographing) and/or indoor games (billiard, table tennis, chess…)
• is willing to learn some German
• brings her/his own culture and interests into the project

Tarefas: • Being part of the team in the daily work
• planning and organising youth leisure activities and events together with youths and staff members
• doing simple bar work
• bringing own ideas into the project
• taking part in regular team meetings
• EVS service is 35 hours per week
