Resumo: "The Keila Open Youth Centre(Keila OYC) situates in the Keila town where are c 10 000 people living. Youth Center is very close to the centre of the town, swimmingpool, forest and trainstation(about 15 minute walk). It is the only this kind of organisation in town, others are hobbiecenters, musicschool, different hobbie classes.
Keile OYC is 2 floored building together with gymhall. In the Keila OYC is everything needed for office work and different specialisation for youth. We have 3 offices with computers, copymachines etc. On the first floor there are acces to the gymhall, (music)recording studio room, seminarhall, 2 dressing rooms together with 1 sauna room, 1 art classroom, big room for concerts, pool and tabletennis, 1 office where are all the equipment with music and sport facilities. We have ADSL internet connection.
On the second floor are 2 offices, were the 1 is for Carreer centre. There is also a big livingroom with 2 computers with interent, a TV, tablegames, videos and airhockey. Also there is a kitchen, one small disscussion room for private talks, and a dark-room for pohotraphy courses.
In addition Keila YOC rents the rooms for birthdays and different sport activites (basketball, hip-hop dance, volleyball etc). We communicate with other governmental organs in the city, like schools, kindergardens, sportclubs, city council and nearby youth centers and youthgroups.
We have youngsters from ages 6-23, the most avrage age is between 10-17. Here are boys and girls from different backround, culture, language(russians and estonians), interests etc. We deal also with problematic youth.
EVS volunteer will be placed in Keila OYC. He/she normally works from Monday till Friday and be involved with everything that is happening here. Because of large variety of our activities, the volunteer has a change to participate in ones most interested activity. He/She will live in Keila city and as the town is not very big, there is no transport needed to get from one place to another. All distantces are normal for walking.
Keila with its c 10 000 habitants offer lot of activities. We have many sportclubs(football, basketball,volleyball,skyng club etc), artistic clubs(musicschool, theatre groups, artclasses etc), swimmingpool with gym and aerobics, rollerskating roads and a forest to go to run. Keila is a very green town, with its parks and forest nearby. We have several shops and a market, libraries, interent point. There are often concerts, theatre spectacles and all kind of different activities going on. We have several caffes and 1 pub to spend time.
From Keila to capital Tallinn is 25 km and the transport is very good. The train that goes several times in one hour and buses that leave every hour. The nearest beach is 13km away from Keila, where is also a train going. The surrounding is very beautiful with many natural things to see.

Perfil: "There will be no special needs for volunteer only to be interested in the topics mentioned before and working with youngsters. We would like volunteer to be active, independent, innovative, tolerant and open minded.
Some experiences working with children, leading a project or a group would be appreciated, but not significant. Same goes with the language. Knowing some english or russian would help the volunteer to adapt faster.

Tarefas: "Activities
This project offers a different variety of activities. The volunteer has a change to choose from different type of activities. As a hosting organisation we understand the importance of the volunteer comfort and to get and give maximum of ones skills, therefore we are very flexable and open to volunteers own ideas and initiativies.
The Keila OYC offers: sport, music, art, theatre, nature, european awareness, healthcare activities. The volunteer responsibilities would be: making different workshops in chosen area, lead the work of youthgroups, support the co-workers in the centre, helping youngsters to realise their ideas, promote youth centre and its activities and more. Volunteer will take part in all process of all the work, meetings etc. Most of the time he/she would be involved with teenagers.
The Keila OYC as a host-organisation can offer lot of possibilities to improve volunteers skills in different areas. To get experienced working together with very different people(children, teenagers, grownups,people with different cultural backround). To lead a workshop or event. To make his/hers ideas real and support it with all of our help. To get contacts not only from Keila, but also other nearby villages and towns.
Mentor and EVS coordinator
The volunteer will have a mentor, who has done herself the EVS and is aware of all the risks and needs during the time of EVS. There will be a all group of young youthworkers, who are open to help with all necessary things to know at work.

Condições: "Accommodation and language course
The volunteer will live in a 1 or 2 roomed flat not far from the working place.
Language course will be provided through our local school-tachers or motivated volunteers from universities.
