Resumo: Our day-care tutors ( three persons) are qualified specialists, whose aim is to provide children with quality care, joyful and educational environment, basic ethical foundations. The other teachers from the school give support for all the staff from Day-care Centre and also cooperate with it on the educational and cultural filed. They want to develop creativity among their pupils and in this way to prepare them for the future work when the Europe struggles with the high rate of unemployment.
Some children come from neighbouring rural areas, same of them with fewer opportunities facing social and economical obstacles like numerous family, unemployment of parents . The site of School cause that children have not easy access to cultural institution. The teachers want to remove the gap between children from rural part of the town and these from city centre.

Because of the size and the site of School the city authorities do not devote much attention to it. As a result School faces a great many financial difficulties. The school staff search the different ways to resolves their problems for examples by cooperation with the other institutions.
The city is a town in the south of Poland. The old part of the city is regarded as a fascinating historical town rich in heritage. The historic quarters constitute only a small part of the present-day the city which is now the largest urban development in the region. The geographical position makes the city an ideal base for excursions to the Polish mountains or picturesque valleys. The town is also well positioned for national and internationals connections. For centuries the city was the capital of Poland, the seat of kings, attracting great scholars and artists from the whole world. It is their talents and imagination we must thank for the city's rich legacy of unique historical relics, which reflect the most important trends in European culture. The city is said to be the cultural capital of Poland and there are many reasons for that claim. The oldest Polish University is also situated here. Theatre, film, music festivals take place throughout the year and there are a lot of museums and galleries varied in character. The intense nightlife can be compared to that offered by many famous European cities. You only have to walk a couple of minutes to find a variety of music clubs, discotheques and bars. They are usually housed in cellars and are open until very late or even till the early morning. That all will leave you with unforgettable memories.

Many leading personalities of Polish academic, cultural and public life were born here and many famous artists and writers choose to live here, attracted by unique atmosphere of the place enlivened by old traditions

Perfil: Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: We want to introduce children into society by teaching them how to cooperate and contribute. We give and require respect, promote self-discipline, create and support friendly and joyful atmosphere. The project assumes that means of regular Day-care Centre activities that are clearly focused on various aspects of volunteer's country culture we are able to bring elements of European heritage into our community life. Under those circumstances a volunteer willing to cooperate with us would be a godsend.

The volunteer will be invited to share their national culture and identity. In co-operation with the volunteer we will penetrate different aspects of his culture to know famous work of art, writing, drama, pictures, songs etc. At the end of the project the volunteer supported by the day-care staff and children will prepare the presentation of the results of their research concerning the volunteer's country culture.
During the project the volunteer is welcomed to come up with their own concepts, activities which we will be willing to discuss and possibly introduce.
