Resumo: The host organization is located in a a town with a dynamic society and economy. Its industrial and business centre occupies a lot of people. Services: the City Council is one of most outstanding ones in Spain, with over 1000 civil servants and a large number of social, cultural and sport services for its citizens. Regarding youth policies, the city is a pioneer in the development of youth programmes and participation ideas.

The Youth Area, promotes and organises training and information activities for youth in the town aged between 14 and 35 years. As part of our policy of providing opportunities of participation in European mobility projects, we have been hosting European volunteers who support our work for several years.
This project includes hosting 4 European volunteers for 9 months (October - June). Volunteers will mainly participate in activities in the Youth House, but also in related institutions.

This gives us the opportunity of giving organisations and youth collectives and individuals first hand information and a living model of the virtues of such a training and vital experience as this one. Thus, volunteers integrate in the daily work of the organization to collaborate with the promotion, dissemination and organisation of youth activities. They live in shared flats in the town.

Perfil: Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: The volunteer will take part in our night healthy and alternative activities for youngsters. The volunteer will take part on the administrative part and the animation activities every Saturday night. We´re planning also to give him the possibility to involve himself with some of our youth association’s leasure time projects, in order to give him the possibility to know the real life of our city (with so many youth movements)
