Resumo: Our association is a municipal institution, which runs a youth centre and a children's day care centre.
We have 8 co-workers and a managing committee that consists of 9 voluntary persons.
The city has a population of 22,000. SInce the economical and social conditions are good, we have the opportunity to offer different activities to socially disadvantaged children and youngsters, and that in various forms . We have been offering the EVS since 1998, and all together we have had 12 youngsters from different countries, with whom we had had good experiences. The volunteers live in our youth centre in an apartment-sharing community with other young people.

Perfil: -age: 18 until 30 years old
-be open minded
-speak some German and
-loves to be with children !

Tarefas: The volunteer has the possibility to choose from different work fields that concentrate on children and youth work, located in different places around the town.
We make sure to consider the volunteer’s abilities and preferences.
Possible fields are:
The work with children between 6 and 10 years old. The volunteer helps the children to do their homework and after that the day care center offers diverse activities for the children. In the summer holidays there is a big children's camp called Daxburg, which takes place every year with about 90 kids.
The volunteer has the possibility to participate and help organise different events (disco, excursions, concerts... etc.) for youngsters between 14 and 18 years old.
International youth work is one of the main job for the volunteer:
International Workcamps with young people from different countries
Exchange with Turkish University
Project ideas are always welcome and have been accepted in the past.
