Resumo: The host organization is located in a green town of art, were many significant personalities were born and studied. In this region is located the watermill with a beautiful mill dam, exhibition hall, who's head is historian. The city attracted to the small town's characteristic calm and unhurried rhythm of life, also with a specific Ruveniesu language, and small shops. This calm and tranquil town has a house of culture and an outdoor stage with dance steps, sounds of music, theatre performances and many other events, which delight the towns, residents and visitors.

The association work takes place 5 minutes from the town centre. The town has access to a sports hall, a centre for teenagers, cafes, shops, house of culture. Connections with other towns and cities provide a public bus, but in the town bikes are widely used.

Perfil: Volunteers with the organizations proposed work can meet the accredited organizations database and send CV'S with motivation letters for voluntary work. The most important criterion for voluntary work is not being afraid to communicate and get close links with senior citizens. Special education or previous practice should not be, but if so, it will be great advantage.

Volunteers will be selected by motivation, hobbies, interests, in line with common interests, to have the opportunity to learn both sides. The key is that the young person is active, creative, willing to do various jobs, open and communicative. Knowledge of English mandatory. At the volunteers selection it is not taken into account the ethnic status, sex, religion and there will be no discrimination.

The sending organization must understand the nature of the work while working with seniors as a means to a young person to be trained before being sent to the host organization.

Tarefas: Volunteers will be provided in local culture and language skills with local teenagers at least 2 hours a week.
Volunteer duties:
-Help organize activities for the seniors;
-Walks with the seniors in fresh air;
-Organize events, celebrations, birthdays, Easter etc.;
-Organize creative activities, lessons (drawing, painting, musical singing etc.);
-Share experience with other organizations;
Photograph activities, publishing social media, on our website;
Volunteers will be the day centre organizers. Volunteers will be provided three meals and living on-site facilities, society triple or double rooms.
Result of the work volunteers will: gain experience of working with the elderly and disabled, as well as get to know Latvia. Gain new experience or enhance the experience of already known. Volunteers will provide insight into their country, culture and traditions. Improve communication skills and body language, and learn the Latvian language and culture.

Horário: Activities are organized on work days from 9:00-12:00 and from 14:00-17:00, time 8:00- breakfast, time 12:00- lunch, time 17:00- dinner. Volunteers will work 8 hours a day. Saturdays and Sundays are days of, which is a volunteers free time.
