Resumo: The host organization is a public institution which takes care and educates 135 children. It is placed in a town of ca. 70 000 inhabitants, situated not far away (ca. 30 minutes by train) from capital city of Western.
- Pomerania region.
The city develops beautiffully. There are a lot of institutions, both cultural and educational. Nursery also cooperates
with many of them: Public Museum, library and other institutiona which contribute eduation, e.g. Psychological Clinic, Therapy
Service Centre for autism children, Lovers of Fine Arts Association.
Volunteers would live in a independent appartment rent in centre. Nursery School would provide food
- breakfasts, lunch and dinners during working days, for all the days off volunteers would get food money from coordinating
organization.

Perfil: Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: Volunteers hosted will get an educational training before starting work, connected with work safety and early school education, psychology of children education of children progress at the age of pre - school. They will also get to know methods and forms of work with children, and courses which will improve and cultivate their skills. Since 2004 nursery also cooperated with german nursery. Cooperation based on annual meetings of children and staff once a year allowed to implement various projects and activites to integrate both environments and overcome barriers.

Volunteers hosted would work with children and would be able to improve themselves in entirely different conditions and
situations. By everyday work, and contact - not only with children - but also with other culture, community and values,
volunteers would aquire new skills usefull in future life, e.g. knowledge of children development stages, the ability to work
in a group. Nursery School would at the same time get new experiences and knowledge about foreign partners and improve
its' cooperational skills.

Volunteers hosted would work with one of the groups of children. Besides daily activities with children related to the care and
education, volunteers would be assigned to specific tasks. They would be directly responsible for the preparation and collection
of "language portfolio", creating albums and catalogs of art work. In order to get rid of the language barrier, volunteers would be responsible for organization of contests and sport competitions. Important tasks would be preparation of an art class for the children once a week. All these actions would be implemented in the mornings (9:00 - 11:00) and afternoons (12:00 - 15:00) on weekdays (from Mondays till Fridays), in shifts - one week in the mornings, next one - in the afternoons. Additionally - in a group of bilingual education childen learn by playing and natural language situations german language, where volunteers would also participate and help. Children also participate in different activities to increase level ecological and regional awareness. This means visiting different places in the region, organizing number of tours. Children often travel to nearby cities and places and have opportunity to participate in theatrical plays in Puppet Theatre or the Radio or tv studios.

Volunteers hosted - together with teachers would organize meetings with parents in open classes once in two months. During
those meetings volunteers would have an opportunity to get a closer look and knowledge of parents care and establish friendly
contacts. Nursery School places great emphasis on close collaboration with parents of the children.

Volunteers hosted would also have an opportunity to participate in rehersals and theatrical presentations for children. Both -
parents and volunteers - would perform in role of actors or/and stage designer.
