Resumo: Generally speaking we want to guarantee that the proposed activities will be undertaken in line with the Charter of European Voluntary Service. The activities will be realized in interesting contexts, through a path previously defined by experts in agreement with volunteers, that is structured and articulated over time, in order to allow their personal and cultural growth and to develop their spirit of independence and autonomy.

With reference to the local context of the promoter, the organization is settle in a metropolitan area has about 400,000 inhabitants, of which about 8,000 foreigners living in the city.

Despite the ancient foundation, in fact, was an important and flourishing magno-greek colony - the city shows a modern urban structure, effect of the catastrophic earthquake of 28 December 1908 that destroyed much of the city.

After the earthquake, the city centre was rebuilt with long straight roads, larger than ancient ones, with palaces predominantly inspired by Liberty art; the historic city-centre has an urban checkerboard reality and has interesting civil and religious buildings.

Its urban system is a major economic centre and regional service but also one of the highest concentrations of nodes and equipment in the Region for transport and logistics to the southern coasts of the Mediterranean.

This economic structure, affected by a slow but cotinuous development today sees prevail tertiary sector, although agriculture and land use remain a significant value and tourism is growing increasingly favoured by the presence of important vestiges of past, its rich history and natural beauty.
The industrial sector is made of medium and small companies, principally working engaged in extracting essence of bergamot, assembly of rail cars, in the production of coffee, liquor and food, housing, furniture.

This is a young city, vibrant and very active that over the years has seen a slow but steady growth.
Th city is home to two of the four universities present atin the Region level: the University and the University for Foreigners as well as of other institutions particularly prestigious as the ' Academy the Conservatory of Music, the Institute of Religious Studies, the School of Public Administration.

In general, we can say that the educational system is quite articulate and full of proposals, like the landscape of institutions and cultural associations, which are characterized by the vivacity with which they propose their offers and programme to the public, supported also by the presence of rich libraries, museums, facilities for temporary exhibitions, and places with a rich cultural programme as the planetarium.

Finally, the presence of a high number of voluntary organizations active at local level shows the strong deep spirit of solidarity of the city. Besided, these organizations can play a fundamental role in the implementation of international mobility and in the fostering of exchanges of experience in different countries.

Perfil: In line with the Youth in Action Programme Guide, young people aged between 18 and 30 year, legally resident in a participating country or in a partner country, without any distinction of nationality, educational level, social origin, ethnic group, religion, sexual orientation or political opinion, can participate in an EVS project.

On the contrary, requirements that volunteers must have are: motivation to get involved and test their initiative in different social and cultural contexts, interest in acquiring new skills and abilities, curiosity to know another country and improve their language skills.
In order to ensure everyone the opportunity to participate in an EVS project will be supply clear, relevant, up-dated and accurate information on the project and will be ensured maximum visibility and dissemination of information through all available means, particularly through the web.

The application will consist in sending a CV and a motivational letter and will be ensured the maximum transparency in the selection process that will be managed by experienced breeders.
The selection process will give preference to volunteers who have good English language skills, adaptability and good communication and a strong ability to relate to different cultures.

Tarefas: The company offers volunteers the opportunity to live in a highly professional, young and exciting environment, where they can enrich not only their own background, but also can acquire new skills useful in their future careers. Using non-formal learning, will be stimulated their sense of curiosity, initiative and problem-solving, as well as their autonomy,
Among the activities carried out, the volunteer will assist experts in activities addressed to students, youths and migrants. In particular, they follow a path that will see them involved in the planning, orientation and in information services, activities that are complementary between among them. The volunteer, always supported by experts, will work in various activities that will allow him/her to follow a path of growth. Specifically, they will be involved in planning, management activities, specifically they will support the experts such in back-office and as well in front- office at the information desks for immigrants, they will participate in the activities of educational and vocational guidance of students and young people, they can give their support in the organization ofing events, seminars, awareness campaigns.

Volunteers, through their active involvement in the activities foreseen, will have the opportunity to propose alternative actions, based on their personal motivations, their interests and aptitudes.
The volunteer through activities that will relate him directly and empathy with young people and foreigners in the territory, will not only increase their knowledge and expertise in immigration and youth policy, but will learn a reality (that one of the South of Italy) often ignored or not properly known in the rest of Europe and of the world.

The cooperative will also involve the network of voluntary associations, with which it daily works, in order to submit different EVS projects but always stimulating and enriching for volunteers.
