Resumo: The Centre is located near the city local economy depends on agriculture production and cities and villages around it live with it. This is the environment where we offer our social services taking into consideration the factors that influence this society. Thus the volunteers will have to expect a rural society and there are 2 choices for staying.

Food would be available at the building installations or self-catering in their flat on their own responsibility. Transportation to/from the city can be arranged along with the employess according to employess shifts 3 times per 24 hours. Cycling is always an effective way of transportation in such a close distance.

As for the working place volunteers are called to offer their services in a new and hospitable place inside the building installations. The place is divided into 3 rooms and an office. Two rooms are used as actvities playrooms and one is the rest room for tired disabled persons. Rooms faces the NW side of the basement and there is direct access to the outside garden. The Center operates similar to school timetable.

Perfil: Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: The proposed voluntary services in the Centre include:
a) voluntary service with creative activities for the patients such as handicrafts, painting, music, pottery, constructions, energizing games, table games, gardening, physical education, free time entertainment and accompanying them to their local transportations.
b) voluntary service on planning, organizing and implementing youth activities with similar youngsters from abroad in the frame of various European and World programmes for the creation of networks of voluntary organisations. Creation of a webpage, design of a leaflet and orginize an information/dissemination event for publicity. Willing to prepare and organize an international youth exchanges with other similar groups from abroad.
Finally, volunteers will learn how to apply practical techniques for all mentioned works and will acquire knowledge and skills in social services.

The role of volunteers is important because thet will add important value to the activities of our Center, due to the new perspectives and opinions offered to our specialised personnel and apply to their daily tasks, while at the same time they learn new things by directly acquiring dexterities that will be recorded in the Youthpass at the end of their service. Moreover they will increase our knowledge, understanding and potential partners within the region the volunteer comes from. We are willing to host two international volunteers.

Our aim is to occupy volunteers without discriminations and biases taking into consideration only the disposal for reliable work with willingness for learning, love for their work field and thus increasing the benefits for the local society. In each type and stage of their voluntary services we will offer support in any sector at any time creating a safe and stable environment of living and work. The interested volunteer sending organizations will have to ensure us that their proposed volunteers fulfil and accept the conditions of stay and work in order to be accepted in our social services and start a successful collaboration between all involved partners and surely the volunteers themselves.
