Resumo: There are a number of places to spend free time, including a theatre and a folk center. The Cultural Academy also offers great activities, while its students bring liveliness to the city. The city is famous for its folk music festival organised every July. The festival brings together contemporary folk music from all over the world and ca 20000 Estonians! Furthermore, the city has a beautiful castle ruin, surrounded by a breath-taking view. The city has many 19th century wooden houses and a water-tower. The city is not overwhelming, people live here peacefully and in harmony.

There is very good bus and train connection with the capital and other main cities.
Local transport is very good and accessible, but usually people walk and bike, especially in summer time.
In our daycare centre we use 2 activitie rooms and kitchen . The volunteers can use the tools of art, gymnastics equipment, as well as the piano, guitar, synth. Daycare centre has a variety of table games ( also introduce Estonia and estonian language), andl computers. The volunteers can together with our clients and stuff participate in various arts and crafts workshops. Daycare center has a good relationship with the Folk musicians who are coming very often to our center to introduce Estonian culture and music.

Perfil: S/he should be motivated and intrested in meeting and working with disabled people. Previous experience is not necessary, but the volunteer should be active, energetic, creative, taking initiative, adaptable, open-minded, sociable, positive, responsible and reliable. It is very useful if s/he has a hobby or skill that can share with.
Basic English is needed for communicating with the stuff of the centre.

Tarefas: The volunteer should bring international/ European awareness, openness, new approaches, and intercultural dimension to the life of disabled people and the employees in our organisation and the wider community. The volunteer should be bring own energia, charisma, skills.

The main activities of the volunteer:
The main task is to help disabled people and the stuff in their daily activities and organising different workshops for the clients. Volunteer's tasks depend very much on his/her interests and skills.
In the very beginning of the project volunteers will have the time to become acquainted with the work and then find the most suitable activities for him/herself. With the working mentor they will make certain working plan for the volunteer. Volunteer has continuous contact with the mentor to prevent and solve possible crisis on cultural or language level.

Depending on the volunteer’s and clients’ interests, following activities can be adapted in both services:
• assisting, planning and running creative workshops and activities (dance, music, theatre, handicraft, etc);
• assisting to arrange outings, excursions and camps and taking part in those;
• presenting his/her own country and culture;
• leading foreign language conversation lessons for clients;
• personal assistant for clients when needed ;
• assisting to prepare different projects.
