Resumo: We are renew organization. We chose this one because giraffe is know as an animal with the biggest heart in animals world. And it directly reflects our priorities and themes (children, quality sport leagues, leisure time, activities for kids and adults, many events, non-formal education, friendly way of giving knowledges and friendships). We are located in a city of 80 000 inhabitants. From our organization you can get to the center in 1 minute on foot. Everything you need is close. It is our best advantage. We are directly interested in creating interesting activities after school in leisure time of children, teenagers and courses and sport for adults. Our members are people of all ages and nationalities, we do not make differences and we try to have the same approach to all categories and kinds of courses and activities.

We have more than 4000 participants. Our organization has two independent buildings: first one is in the centre of the town - where are rooms (classes) for different courses, dancing rooms, offices and second one - there are rooms for courses and one big common room called Club for kids with table tennis, PCs, games, pool....
Our sport leagues are played in 2 independent sport halls for futsal, hockey ball and floor ball matches and tournaments played every weekend.

We would like to host 2 volunteers for the very simple reason – we would like to provide to our members multicultural environmnent and the easiest way of non-formal learning by being in natural background of foreign languages.

Our job is great....we are working with children and youngsters, we create place for their time after school, events for physical actvities, we try to fullfill expectantions of parents in question of care about their kids, we listen to everybody who is in contact with our center and who is looking for many different ways of having fun and meaningfully spending of free time. We take care of this through courses, events, sport activities.

Perfil: We look for volunteer with:
- sporting soul and
- love to kids who
- should have a strong interest in preparing sport events and being participant on them,
- also in making activities in afterschool club with young people between 5 and 18 years old.
- We search for active helper in organizing floorball, futsal and hockey ball matches,
- helping referee at city´s sport leagues, timekeeper,
- web admin,
- helping at tutoring in our after-school time club for kids, preparing activities for them, playing games
with them, spending free time with them.
- Furthermore, volunteer could prepare own new projects such as youth exchanges or participation to
international seminars.
- We hope that volunteer will have positive approach to people, optimistic thinking and lot of enthusiasm
to work with young people. Volunteers usually become our big pride. We try to give them this feeling
everytime. We also appreaciate all their activity and creativity they provide during the service.
Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: We have enough activities in order to adapt the schedule of the volunteer according to her/his wishes and her/his skills.
- 40% organizing of floor ball, futsal and hockey ball matches, helping referee at city´s sport leagues,
timekeeper, web admin
- 40% Helping tutor in our club for children after school called Hájovňa
- 20% Making lecturer his/her language courses , preparation of posters for activities advertisement,
helping in the preparation of projects and activities (new workshops, special occasion´s activities,
summer activities, international seminars, youth exchanges), staff meetings for the organization of
activities, preparation of the volunteer ´s own project

Horário: We have very good experience with volunteers who we have had, base is to tell them on the beginning our rules including working hours and days off. Every day will our volunteers have time for preparation of materials, exercises, handouts and things for their course (copy, print,…)

Volunteer will work 5 days a week (aprrox. 30 hours a week). Because we need volunteer mostly for weekend sport matches, volunteers will have days off during the week according to agreement with them. Working hours are flexible, agreed with the volunteer and other people involved in the task.

Mentor will meet at least once a week with Volunteers to discuss the activities and tasks for the volunteer. Volunteer will have 2 days off per week: usually Saturday and Sunday. Sometimes in case of events taking place during the weekend, volunteer can be asked to work on Saturday or on Sunday and then will have a day off during the week. Volunteer will also attend classes of Slovak language.

Condições: Food: After the communication with other volunteers we met the agreement that the best form of meal will be in volunteers´ own cooking. Volunteers will get money for food monthly/cash or to bank account. So it will be in volunteers´ style how they will manage their eating. Good advantage is also that in the city there are also many opportunities to buy good food – there are lot of good restaurants and fast foods, shops and pizzerias. In Slovak restaurants is possible also to eat menu every day for good price.

Accommodation: Volunteers will be lodged in a flat of the host organisation. They will always have the possibility to have a contact person in case of needs. .They will live in a flat in a main building of our organization in the centre.

Local transport: Because we had several volunteers before – this question is arranged without any problems, we will discuss it according to volunteers opinions. Becuase they will travel to Club in our second building and also to the sport halls, and also for travelling at the city, we usually manage extra travelling money and special city card for travelling by city bus.
