Resumo: The host organization is situated in North-east of Latvia, bordering with Estonia and Russia. The population is around 18.000 (8.500 in the town). It is a quite and beautiful place with a lake in the center and many more around the town, hystorical places and very kind and friendly people if you just give them some space. Nice summers, amazingly beatufil autumns, green spings and cold, cold winters in a good company if you are opened for any new experience.

The host organization is an educational institution established by the municipality in 2002. Activities realized by the organization:
" coordination of youth policy in the district
" facilitation of youth initiatives and non-formal learning activities (training courses, new artists exhibitions, youth days and charity actions)
"implementation of interest education programs (hobby groups) and providing free time activities (Lego and Lego robotic workshops, street gymnastics, singing, modern and folk dancing, theater, summer camps, concerts, various creative workshops and events).

Perfil: The volunteer we would like to host should be opened to a new experience, flexible, responsible, ready to live in a small town in peaceful and quite environment, a person who is interested in working with children and young people. At the same time the volunteer should be willing to learn Latvian for better communication with local people but it is not the priority. English in at least basic leavel is needed.
Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: The volunteer will be integrated in the organization team but he/she has to be able to work independently. Main tasks:
-Leading weekly English discussion club and own language course -Leading dance/art/musical/other workshop for children and young people according own competence
-Assisting teachers in a hobby group for kindergarden teachers (Englisg and crafts)
-Organizing at least 2 intercultural events
-Own initiatives
