Resumo: The host organization created and coordinates the Centre for re-socialization that aims to provide children at risk, children victims of abuse, violence or trafficking and their families with social assistance services, psychological services, reintegration services, specialized services.

The Center is an open and friendly institution that will offer temporary shelter, food, care, schooling and learning activities to children at risk. Besides children that live and work on the streets the project addresses abandoned children or children at risk of abandonment, children that are abused in their family, children with behavioral problems or children at risk. Each child will benefit from psycho-pedagogical counseling and an individualized re-socialization plan with the involvement of a social assistant, a pedagogue and a psychologist.

Perfil: The main criterion is patience, according to small children and their needs, open-heart, kindness and desire to work with children.
Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: The volunteer will organize leisure time for children. He/She will play different games, go for walks together and work in the interest clubs after school. Volunteers can perform the art and cultural projects together. The volunteers will be given an opportunity to bring their own ideas to the project. S/he will try to help children with the home work for school. The volunteers will be also asked to assist in language classes in an informal way. The projects should develop an intercultural bridge for the children and support their ability of the communication and positive thinking. It is a great chance for the children to learn more about other countries and different cultures and traditions. During the project the children will have a possibility to open and express themselves and develop their skills and talents. Through constant communication with Moldovan children and the staff, playing national games, singing songs, telling tales etc., the volunteers will receive a unique opportunity to get to know Moldovan culture and probably to discover something new in their own culture by looking at it from another perspective. Dealing with children in the centre, the volunteers will improve their social and communication skills, develop knowledge, hobbies and interests in variety of fields (like handcrafts, dancing, singing etc.) and finally will receive a valuable experience in social work. The volunteer will work mainly with the age group 6-14. Their main tasks will consist in: - playing with the children, using his /her creativity and games he/she knows - assisting the children with their daily needs and responsibilities - read stories and songs in easy language - help to organize outings and to lead excursions with children groups - participate in painting and crafts workshops - participate in theatre and music groups The volunteer tasks will be revised upon volunteer arrival according to the current activities of the organization and motivation and abilities of the volunteer.
