Resumo: The hosting organization and volunteer’s living place are located in Lithuania. So all activities possible in a city are open for volunteers. Volunteers will live in a 3-4 rooms flat with other EVS volunteers, so there will be good possibility to communicate not only with Lithuanians, but also young people from other countries and gain as much international experience as it is possible. The school and volunteer’s living place are not in the city centre as well as not in the old town, but the city is quite small city if you compare with big European cities, so to get from one side to another takes usually short time. Volunteers is provided with a monthly ticket that is valid in the entire city.

There are cheap possibilities to go to Riga, Talin, Minsk. Also travelling around Lithuania is not difficult. 70 km to the north you will find a lot of beautiful lakes, 100 km to the west – second biggest city of Lithuania Kaunas, 300 km to the west – wonderful Baltic coast, also many forests and nice little villages all around the country

Perfil: The most desirable volunteer in our organization is the person who is thorough, hard working as well as having a sense of humour. It is very important for the volunteer to be patient and tolerant, because working with handicapped children is not so easy. Last but not least, we expect volunteers to be able to take initiatives, to be responsible for his/her actions, to be creative as well as have positives attitude towars others.
Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: The main role of the volunteers would be assitance for the children, that means any help that is needed during lessons, as well as assist the children in any other leisure or outdoor activities.
Possible activities for the volunteers:
- to help to teach children foreign language.
- to teach communication skills through different verbal and non-verbal games, outdoor activities, workshops.
- to organize presentations about his/her country, culture, food, games etc.
- to go together to theatre, cinema, museums.
- to participate in the excursions to other Lithuanian towns and nice places.
- to represent volunteer's activities, and work to the community (through press, internet, celebrations and so on).
- to become a friend of a child.
What is more, a volunteer could take an active part in everyday life of organization, help to organize some events, as well as organize any activity or programme he/she is interested in. The volunteer will be able to develop any ideas he/she has, new proposals and points of view as well as any other initiatives will be highly appreciated.
