Resumo: "Kuressaare Youth Hobby Centre is a city owned youth centre. Our organisation’s aim is to offer activities that help young people to develop themselves. We work with youth aged 7-26. We work with different youth, including youth with fewer opportunities. Our organisation has 2 buildings where youth can spend their free time. In summers the youth centres are closed and we work in a beach. Our organisation has a room for activities in the beach. In KYHC we have 5 full time youth workers, 11 part time or full time teachers and Director who coordinates the work.
We want to give the future volunteers opportunity to learn about Estonia,and youth work in Kuressaare and help to develop their personalities and skills in youth work. We’d love to share youth work ideas with our partners and develop our organisation\'s work with the help of volunteers.

Perfil: "We are looking for 2 volunteers: 1) a female volunteer who has some experience in acting / drama / theatre.We expect her to use their experiences and skills in acting to lead a drama group and teach the skills to youth. It’s a plus, if the applicant has experience in social theatre / forum theatre. 2) a male volunteer who has some experience in extreme sports (skateboard/ roller skates / bikes). We expect him to teach the techniques to youth and help youth to practice their extreme sports. We also expect the volunteers to bring in their culture/skills/ideas to enrich our organisation’s work and have a nice time in Saaremaa!

Tarefas: "The possible tasks for the volunteer are: 1) helping the teatchers in hobby lessons (car lessons, cooking lessons,dance lessons, carpentry lessons, bike and traffic lessons, robot making
lessons, clay art lessons, sports lessons, shooting lessons). The volunteer can start a new hobby lesson (for example acting, craft,language lesson). 2) helping the youth workers to organize children and youth events: camps, trips, tournamets, theme evenings, parties, discos, international projects, bands´ festivals, bike tricks tournaments, snow town buildings,
working camps, celebrating special days like Mothers Days, Fathers Days, Valentine’s Days, Children’s Days, Christmas, Sea Days and so on. 3) helping the youth workers in youth centres. Youth can play table tennis, billiard, Nintendo Wii, board games, card games and other games in youth centres. There is a ramp in Komandandi street youth centre for
skaters. The volunteer can help with the work in youth centres, developing our website (www.kuressaare.ee/knh), project management, supporting youth with creating projects, helping with the sound- and music studio work and street youth work. 4) create and fulfill his/her own ideas, projects, activities that are inaccordance with our organisation’s principles"
