Resumo: Our project gathers together 30 young people from 30 different European countries in a beautiful touristic city located in western coast of Turkey. For already 15 years we have been organizing a great International Dance Festival which hosts hundreds of dancers and groups from all over the world. This festival is in the list of Unesco cultural events and is provided for free to its visitors thank to support of local and national sponsors. Many dancers from all over the world meet, perform in an ancient Antic Theater and take part in several other cultural activities as well.
Our EVS volunteers will be working together and with us on organization and preparations of this festival, what is more they will also be actively taking part during the festival as performers. In 2013 our volunteers performed two choreographs, one of them prepared in co-operation with a professional choreographer from Latvia and the second one prepared by themselves under name Freedom (available in links). Besides dancing and organizing our volunteers work on promotion of the festival by using new and traditional media such as press release, photography, short video, facebook profile, blogging and also actively with people - face to face by promotional stands in the city and surrounded villages
Perfil: We would like to host volunteers who are experienced in any disciplines of Dance and performing arts, who are open to international dialogue and have desire to learn and respect the cultural differences, with good command of English and good at short film making,video editing, social media management to be able to write articles using online media as well.
Age: 18 until 30 years old
Tarefas:
• to promote YiA programs and EVS program itself by writing articles on our club magazine, website, blog
• to join club activities with local members
• to work on info stands and festival promotion desks in the center and surrounding towns to promote Dance Festival.
• to take part in the dance choreography with other volunteers to perform on the first day of the Festival and take photos or shoot videos from preparation period in order to make a film to introduce EVS Project and Festival in the future
• to work in the Dance Club EVS Office 1 day together with another volunteer. During the day volunteer will find new contacts for future cooperation with possible dance and youth clubs from Program countries regarding festivals and volunteer’s home country itself. Additionally to promote the event in European youth Networks by sending information about Festival.
• To help the festival committee members on guiding the festival partner country groups during the Festival days.
• to introduce their country and city , culture to local community by informal meetings
Volunteers will stay in Festival Hotel and 2 people in 1 room.
The draft program might be flexible due to changes in the festival organization. However, volunteer will be informed about the changes in advance.
Working hours will not exceed 35 hours in a week. Volunteer can use weekend for attending our cultural activities.

During the Festival Week volunteers will work on a back stage, front stage, info desks and guiding of dance groups.
