Resumo: The organization vocational training center is an institution for vocational und social rehabiltiation of young people with learning disabilities and handicaps. We offer 250 young people first vocational training in 26 different professions in industry, trade and the service sector. Goal is the successful vocational training and social participation by integration into the labour market.
All occupations are open for female und male juveniles equally. Also migrants are promoted. The portion of migrants is at present about 25%.

The rate of foreigners of the population is about 8%. In the region the rate of unemployment is 2%
below the federal average . The majority of jobs is settled in the serving sector. The emphasis of occupation is on logistics and energy - and technical sector.
The cultural offer is just as various as the offers in education and leisure time in this region

Perfil: Due to the special handicaps of the young people in our institution it is only possible to include volunteers with full age. They should be able to communicate in german basicly.
They should especially be interested in sports and should be willing to create additional projects and to practice them with our youngsters.

Besides this we expect that they practice parts of their own culture to improve the "intercultural awareness off the youngster and our staff.

Male and female cancidates have equal chances and we don't have any preferences for partner countries.

Tarefas: The goal of the EFD project in the organization vocational training center is cooperation with the integration of young people with learning handicaps into society. Therefore an individual promotion plan is developed for each young person. Promotion teams consisting of school pedagogues (teachers), Social pedagogues (educators), vocational pedagogues (trainers/instructors) and accompanying services realise the promotion plans within an outline plan.
The basis for social participation is created by teaching practical and theoretical knowledge, skills and abilities but also life practical knowledge and social virtues.
A vocational training according to the law of vocational training in a two- or three years gradual training is finished with an examination in front of the chamber.
After successful qualification of the young people by having graduated our specialist personnel applies a lot of efforts to integrate the young trainees into the first job market.
The volunteer will be accommodated in an apartment of our vocational training center. The facilities, the equipment and standard in our institution is modern and up to date.
The decentralized living houses make on the one hand short ways to the place of employment possible (up to 300 meters) but offer on the other hand the necessary free space for private life.
Food will be available in the refectory of the organization training center. Above that it is possible to prepare an own meal in the apartment.
Language training is an integrated part of the tasks the volunteer has to fulfil.
The tasks in detail:
Take part in supporting lessons in German:
The young people with learning disabilities, especially those with migration background, need special assistance and support in order to be able to cope in individual cases with the demands and requirements of the vocational school.
The promotion teams determine contents, volume and range of the promotion elements, which are taught in individual lessons or lessons in groups.
Full time teachers with professional experiences of many years are occupied with these tasks. They will supervise the volunteer.
The weekly working hours for the volunteer are about 30 - 35 hours including the language course.
Employment in the living houses and in leisure time:
The trainees are also supervised and instructed to lead a self responsible life while living the organization boarding houses and in their free time likewise. Therefore they shall learn to organise and handle their free time, treat the boarding houses reasonably and handle the order of common life as well as time and money reasonably and responsibly.
The volunteer will take part in sports and fine arts group activities and can himself develop additional activities in the leisure and meeting house according to his abilities and inclinations.
Leisure time programs and international youth exchanges with England, France and Poland are firm part of the special educational program. The volunteer may have the chance to participate in these exchange programms and will so become part of important group dynamic processes.
Cooperation with all the programs is very important for the volunteer because he can experience group dynamic processes and even form them. Also in this field full time personnel constantly works responsibly.
The volunteer will be instructed to take over responsibility but however won´t be responsible.
In this field he will consequently work the most of his working time.
