Resumo: Situated in the western part of Norway, the town is an inland community. Closest city is Bergen, approximately 1-1.5 hours by train or car. The capital of Norway, Oslo, is 5-5.5 hours by train.

The town has approximately 14000 inhabitants, where above 50% of the is situated in close proximity to the center. The community center is located at approximately 50 meters above sea level (masl). From the center there are valleys going in different directions, and there are many small villages with settlement up to 500 masl.

The town is famous for its nature, mountains, winter sports, tourism, culture and schools, in addition to agriculture, forestry and smaller companies.

The town offers a line of activity offers for visitors including horseback riding, canoeing, rafting, golf, fishing, sky diving, hanggliding, paragliding among others.

Culture:
The town has a varied and extensive cultural life, with approximately 500 non-governmental organizations. There are more tha 40 different sporting facilities and the cultural life embrace different activities, both traditional and new (from Hardanger fiddle to jazzclub, art galleries and symphony orchestra). The town also has many festivals, including jazz, the Extreme sport week, Blues-festival.

In addition, the town host many sport arrangements of both local, natiolnal and international characther.
In the town kulturhus, library, cinema, cultural school, vaksenopplæring, different exibitions, concerts and social gatherings are located.

Festival:
The goal of Festival is to develop new activities in the town and to make it easier for festivals and organizers to cooperate across the activities. For the time being, we are working with extreme sports, Cup, Jazz.

Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: • General work in the organization, arranging and service
- Help out with preparations of courses and conferences
- Be an active part of the teams behind different arrangements and activities

• Assignments in the library:
- Prepare books and other medias
- Participate in preparations and implementations of different arrangements
- Participate when the library has visitors from schools and kindergartens
- Other ongoing work in the library

• Ticket sale cinema

• Sale from kiosk and café, light cleaning and sorting

• Take part in the preparations of upcoming events and festivals, as well as beiing actively involved when the festivals take place.
