Resumo: The Group EVS project entitled “Youth Entrepreneurs Club” is a long-term volunteering project involving 3 volunteers from the EU countries in local youth work activities in Macedonia for a period of 12 month starting in April 2014. The volunteers will be actively involved in developing new service “Youth Entrepreneurs Club”. This is a project from the organization and it is devoted to inform, educate and counsel young people about various possibilities available for youth (studying abroad, scholarships, volunteering, trainings and seminars, events, information for employment, and etc) through providing a direct and online contact with youth.
The objectives of the project are set for the volunteers to feel the cultural and social differences. The project is connected with topics for youth entrepreneurship and creativity, youth information, youth unemployment issue and on other side with discovering local culture and the country heritage.
The project will be a meeting point for all young people who are interested in providing easier placement for them in the labor market, gather information about entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial learning, social entrepreneurship, developing an entrepreneurial project, etc. It will be new service for youth and it will be supported by a group of local volunteers. With this club, we want to support unemployed young people and young entrepreneurs by giving them useful information. In the club, the future young entrepreneurs will have the possibility to inform, talk about ideas and opportunities and share experiences or ideas. There will be few departments in this club where the volunteers will be actively involved in giving services for young people (Young entrepreneur’s information department, Trainings for youth for easier placement in the Labor market, European Youth Community department).
We will involve 3 EVS from different parts of Europe to create the club and participate actively with their own ideas. The club is considered to be an open meeting point to exchange ideas and suggestions and to work as a useful tool for young people.
There are many types of activities where the volunteers will be involved such as sharing information, promotions to the other young people, running workshops for local young people, researches and surveys, conversation and meeting with local youth, etc.
There will be open space for the volunteers to implement their ideas to improve the quality of the project and encourage more and more youngsters to be active in the services delivered by them. During these experiences the volunteers as well as the youngsters will have intercultural learning in order to have a better understanding in each other culture.
Objectives of EVS project
- to stimulate unemployed young people's mobility and active participation in non-EU society
- creating tools and services for increasing youth employment, youth entrepreneurship and creativity within YEC club.
- to discover different ways through youth initiatives to stimulate young people’s spirit of initiative, creativity and entrepreneurship, employability
- uniting and developing creative potentials of young people and thus increase the level of youth activism
- to increase their intercultural knowledge
- the opportunity to meet and live in small community.
Intercultural learning, non-formal education, learning by doing approaches ensured an intercultural dimension of the project. The activities that will be implemented by the EVS volunteers will help to achieve the goal and the objectives set for this project. As a final activity of this project the EVS will organize fair for youth entrepreneurship at local level.
Perfil: The volunteer should be in 18 – 30 years of age coming from EU countries. He/she should have computer skills in Microsoft Office and using Internet. The volunteer should have good communication capabilities, able to work in a team, willing to work with young people from different nationalities and religions. The volunteer need to be responsible, diligent, creative,
openminded, ambitious, interested in innovative ways of communication. As an advantage we will consider basic knowledge of English and experience in youth projects.
Tarefas: The creation of new service for young people YEC, will aim to support unemployed young people and young entrepreneurs by giving them useful information. The volunteers will be involved in creating and developing YEC departments and will do the following activities:
Promotion of YEC on local level – info days, presentations, promotion materials, media activities (short movie about YE in their countries), advertises on online youth Radio, TV shows and etc.
Department “Young entrepreneur’s information”
- What does entrepreneurship mean to young people? – survey among local youth
- Explain the concepts of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial learning, social entrepreneurship – gathering information for the key terms, experiences and good practice examples which will be published on the web page on English (later translated on Macedonian)
- Realization of planed activities of the YEC
Trainings for youth for easier placement in the Labor market including:
- Writing CV
- Motivation letter, simulations for work interviews, career portfolio…
- Entrepreneurship ideas
Department “European Youth Community"
- Promoting EVS and EU programs
- Support young people in developing their youth projects
- Conversation and meeting with local youth
- Discovering local culture and the country heritage
- International dinners
- Promotions in high schools and faculty
Organizing final activity of the project.
- Fair for youth entrepreneurship (organized by EVS volunteers)
