Resumo: The project is an Evs ST project only for desadvantaged young people.

This short term EVS project's comes from a strong local partnership which exists since a some years between two organisations: Youth Service of the town's and Association.

Elsewhere, it s important for the organization, who send many French volunteers in the project to take part in the European network not only as a sending organisation. And also it allows foreign volunteers to come in France for the project too, and by this way to be agood example of what is Evs for French young people.

Perfil: As for our long tyerm project, for us, the priority is mixed people in Youth Team, from different back ground, ethnic origin, differnet school level, age, sexe, to make a common volutaryactivity together for local involvement. In a team as like, each one can find the right place.

Project open for everybody
Youth are involved in team, for solidarity project with french young people from Youth Service, Public Servic, that means that it can't be a confussion with a work.
Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: The task for the volunteer

The Volunteer takes part to locals' sites work of general interests for the community: Restoration of socials collective's equipments. These actions will permit to youth to see in concrete term the realisation of their actions and the results for the community: during their locals involvements they will share activities with young french people of the town, will be on direct contact with local population for some of the projects,and then to note the finals effects and benefits of their actions.

Short term EVS project's is going to be organizing on a 2 to 4 weeks action (depending needs of volunteers), for a group of 3 hosting volunteers…


Week 1: integration and preparation of the site workcamp

Installation, acclimatizing in town,
French initiation in Alliance Française, all the morning the first week
First contacts with local's partners, meet up with technical agents to encourage youth investment into the project.
Meeting with French youth who will participate to the work site camp.
Meeting with Youth selected of the Youth Service for the realisation of intercultural actions, evenings thematic, articles from the origins of the countries, cultural and sportive outdoors activities (ASVEL) if it s possible (It depends on which moment of the year the volunteers come).
Evaluation


- Week 2 and 3: Putting into place youth and leaders on work site camp: Start the site work by the Volunteers, preparation, first realisation. Follow up intercultural actions.
Evaluation

- Week 4 : finalisation of the work site with the French group ( mix up ) : Ended up the work
Site camp, valorisation of the action on a local level.
General conclusion on all intercultural actions.
Final evaluation, report, and YouthPass


Objectives of learning


We worked on a common base of objectives of learning which seemed to us interesting and important to make to succeed. Of course, every project will have its specificities, bound to the culture on one hand, to the activities on the other hand.

Know how to make:

- Inter-culturalité
Discover the host country, its culture, its customs, her history, its geopolitics, etc. …
Make her country known, its culture, her language(tongue).

- Linguistic learning
Communicate in the language of the country, and possibility of perfecting English.
Make sensitive the public in the French language.

- Technical learning
Learn new working techniques. Specific techniques to the public and to the implemented(operated) projects.

Know how to be:

- Solidarity
Work in team, help the public in trouble, live in cohabitation.

- Adaptability
Adapt her objectives






Practical Things


Food

The volunteer receive an amount of money for food to cook by himself (260 euros).


Accomodation
Housing with two other European volunteer in a flat full equipped with individual bedroom, in Lyon (30 m. from the center by tramway, underground or bus )


Linguistic training
Course of French language in a specialized training center: Intensive courses the first week all the morning.

Pocket money

The volunteer have 125 euros for the 4 weeks.

Local transport

We provide local transport costs: the volunteer has got a monthly bus card.

Internet acces in the organization or Youth Service
Possibility to contact by phone the sending organisation from the organization
