Resumo: The hosting organization is a youth association that aims to heighten intercultural understanding among the youth around the world through various forms of interventions.

As an organization with partners all over the world, EVS is a wonderful partner to expand our effort to promote intercultural exchange by giving youngsters from another country the chance to get to know the Belgian culture and the Belgian way of working and the other way around.

As we work and engage with so many different nationalities and backgrounds, it is likewise ideal to have people from another background in our team. This will help enhance the intercultural spirit in the office and provide new channels of exchanging ideas. Having an EVS intern would also give not only the people in the office but also hundreds of volunteers that we work with a chance to work with people from another background. Most of our volunteers have lived a year outside of Belgium and it would be a valuable experience if they can continue working with non-Belgians while they are in their home country.

For the EVS volunteers, it will be a great possibility to enjoy the local Belgian life and get to know about the international dimension of YFU. They will also be engaging a lot with our young Flemish volunteers and this will ultimately provide them the true Flemish work and social. They would get the chance to develop themselves, get to know new methods, ways of thinking,… We would be glad to give them this opportunity and would support them before and during their stay abroad.
