Resumo: Based in a castle , the the association is situated in the bourbon
bocage in the middle of woods and plains. The village consists of 400 inhabitants; the architecture and the
name of the village reflect its mining past. The area is very rural, rich in natural and architectural beauty, but
marked by an aging population. Deprived of industry and a tertiary sector, this territory relies on its green
tourism, sale of artisanal goods, and a quality agriculture dominated by the breeding of cows.
The closest towns are Vichy (45km- pop. 26 000), Moulins (50km- pop. 22 000) and Roanne (60km- pop. 40
000). The closest urban agglomeration is Clermont-Ferrand (90km- pop. 250 000). The closest train stations are
Lapalisse (20km), St Germain-des-Fossés (35km) and Digoin (25km).
The most nearby village is situated at 6 km, where you can find all the daily conveniences – The Post,
newspapers, bread, grocery shops, tabacco store - as all the services – doctor, dentist, physiotherapist,
insurance, bank, hairdresser…
Several people live permanently on the site : three wage earners of the association and two artisans in art (a ceramics artist as well the secretary for the association).
All year long, the association:
- hosts people, teenagers and less young, in difficulties or not, in order to work with them on a socioprofessional
project (Workshops of Personal Mobilization, an action that is financed by the General Council of
Alier)
- organise and/or participate in actions of development and local animation : educational workshops in
academic institutions, with local Leisure Centre’s, next to structures with elderly people or with deficienties,
forums and information session on international mobility for the youth…
- construct open international projects in priority to the youth of the jurisdiction, round a variety of thematic :
eco-citizenships, fight against discriminations, theater, traditional dances…
- hosting of groups on site for their stay during intercultural training ( Culture and Freedom, Integration Platform
by Humanitarian organization and the co-operation) , “Social” holidays”( Emmaüs) or educational (children’s
home, educational centre, homes…)
The volunteers are live in the heart of the hosting centre, I rooms of 4 people. The daily life (kitchen, shopping,
maintenance) is auto-managed between the permanent staff and the volunteers. The meals are eaten together.
The activities which are participated by the volunteers are always lead by the permanent staff of the association
(wage earners, volunteers)

Perfil: We don’t have selection criterias (exept for age: no volunteer can have less than 18 year old)
We simply ask that the EVS volunteer:
1. is interested in the proposed theme and activities
2. has the willpower to live in collectivity during several months
3. absolutely participates in a preparation in their country of origin before they arrive with us.
4.driving licence is a plus
Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: Every participation at an activity whatever it might be is based on social or technical learning. Nevertheless we
try to put the following activities first:
- participation of a stay to “discover the local environment”: hosted individually by an artisan, agriculture or a local
artist during 2-3 days, the volunteers discover from the inside the life of a French family also a new personal activity. It is also
a supplementary way to progress their knowledge of French.
- Activities to support linguistics: in the way of formal courses or outings to discover the territory (by an wage-earning
leader of the association).
- To their disposal a vehicle (mini-bus or touristic car) for personal purchases or visits to the region (conditions: international
drivers license + license during 3 years).
- To their disposal an internet connection
- Learn to sculpture and turn clay because there is a professional ceramics artist present at the hosting centre.
- Point-phone 24/24h, 7/7d, permits to call (with the use of a pre-payed card) or to receive phonecalls.
- Local press on the spot.
· what will be the role of EVS volunteers in the Host Organisation,
Les volontaires SVE ont un rôle fondamental au sein de notre organisation.
-ils participent aux activités proposées au même titre que les publics inscrits sur nos actions (cf. ci-dessous)
-ils prennent en charge la préparation et l'animation de certaines activités, en groupe ou individuellement.
-ils ont des responsabilités dans la gestion quotidienne du centre d'accueil
-ils apportent une plus-value interculturelle dans les actions que nous développons avec la population locale
-ils contribuent à l'apprentissage social et culturel des personnes en difficulté avec lesquelles nous travaillons (JAMO,
demandeurs d'emploi...)
The EVS vollunteers have a fundamental role in the heart of our organistation.
- They participate in the proposed activities in the same way as the public inscribes themselves in our actions.
- They are in charge for the preparations and animations of certain activities, in group or individually.
- They have responsibilities’ in the daily management of the hosting centre.
- They carry a international more-value in the actions that we develop with the local population.
They contribute to social and cultural learning of people in difficulties which we work with.
· the activities in which the volunteers could be involved and the activities the volunteers could create in your
organisation. Please give examples of typical activities for the volunteers.
Here are some examples of activities the volunteers can participate in :
-artistic, musical, handycraft, culinary... workshops or games, proposed to the people we host
regularly (young people with less opportunities, unemployed people, people attending in training...)
in the field of a program for inclusion.
-artistic, musical, handycraft, culinary... workshops or games, proposed to the people of social
centres, school, retired house, centre for disabled people...
-renewing/improvement activities in the place of the association (with the people we host), or in the
next villages.
-management of the daily tasks in the centre
-leading of international workcamps in the summer
-outside activities : gardening, lokking after the animals, planting flowers...
-promotion of the volunteering and EVS in schools, youth events etc...
Activities they could invent/imagine :
-organise artistic, musical, handycraft, culinary... workshops or games, proposed to the people we host regularly
(young people with less opportunities, unemployed people, people attending in training...) in the field of a
program for inclusion.
-animate artistic, musical, handycraft, culinary... workshops or games, proposed to the people of social centres,
school, retired house, centre for disabled people...
-any type of initiative that can contribute to foster their personal development, and that is interesting for both the
volunteer and the hosting association : artistic creation, promotional document, decoration...
-organisation and leading of international projects (examples of topic : cultural, artistic, eco-citizenship...
