Resumo: Thi is a multimedia project from the community.(Zeeland, The Netherlands) The aim is to make regional television. At the moment the items are published on the internet (Youtube) and Facebook. The next step in development is to get the newsitems shown by a bigger regional station (Scheldemond Television). The project is supervised by Jeannice (mentor for the project and a skilled, professional cineast) and she has formed a team of volunteers of different ages. She learns the volunteers how to make and produce the filmitems. The volunteers get support in making the newsitems and learn how to work them out on the laptop with special digital editing- programs. This is located in the youthcentre Time Out in the city and in that way it takes part in the project Time Out. There is an involment of kids in the age from 6 to 12 years, youngsters in the age of 12 to 18 years old and different groups of adults.

Perfil: We like to recieve a volunteer how has interest in working with children in the age of 6 to 12 years old. The volunteer will work in a team so he or she has to been open in working together with others, respect eachothers opinion and theire devotion to do this volunteerswork. The activities are ” active” so the volunteer has to be open in doing recreative and sportsactivities and has to be physical able to guide the children in these actions. We like to give volunteers the change to go abroad and experience volunteerswork in a other country. We are open to all kinds of sending organisations.We have no experiences with evs - youngsters with big problems like justical, drugs, or drinking problems.

Tarefas: For the EVS project is looking for youngsters who are interested in making local news and televisionprogrammes and are willing to learn how to work with the team, the filmcamera’s and the digital editingprograms. The project is a longterm project for 2 to 9 month’s.

Horário: Weekprogram:
Monday:
meeting with the mentor, workers and volunteers. Evaluation of the last week. Preparation of the coming week. Planning and producing new possible items.
Tuesday:
Shooting the newsitems and the interviews, and editing the results on the laptop.
Wednesday:
morning: setting up new items and preparing everything for the schoolkids in the afternoon. Afternoon: Guiding the schoolkids with their filmproject.
Thursday:
this is the day for the editing of the weekreport and the filming of the weekly “question of the day”. This is a weekly item that is filmed and the item can be local or regional or something political etc… In the afternoon the kids of +14 group to prepare there items.
Friday:
finishing the editing of the film made that week and placing them on the internet. Make the planning for the weekend items. Who will do what?
Weekend:
The weekend are free, or in case that the EVS volunteer will make an item in the weekend then that time will be compensated in the week.
