Resumo: The action presented is to host 4 young european volunteers at the same time in 4 different places:
- 1 volunteer in the Youth and Cultural centre
- 1 volunteer in our organization ( AACD).
- 1 volunteer in the network of youth and cultural centres in Normandy,
- 1 volunteer in the Youth and Cultural centre of Yvetot

In the Valley of Seine, the village where is situates the organization counts 4.168 inhabitants and benefits of a privileged situation: it is located in the crossroad of three famous Norman abbeys, at the departure of the “Road of Fruits” and between 2 big cities: Rouen and Le Havre.
At the front door of a natural regional park, near a river called « Austreberthe » and near the Seine, it is really a place for those who love nature like hikers, fishers or photographers.

The selected area for hosting the volunteers is the “Country of Caux” with the city of Yvetot as a central place + 2 villages located 20 kilometres around.
The volunteers will live in Yvetot, a city with 8000 inhabitants, which offers all services (administrative and health services) and leisure (cinema, restaurants, cultural centers…).
A train joins Paris to Le Havre (1h1/2 from Paris and less than 30 mn from Le Havre and Rouen), several bus lines (one goes to the see) and also the freeway. It is a tourist area which offers many possibilities.

The “Country of Caux” is a rural and enclosed country, distinguished by small communes with local councillors who hesitate to create new projects and with a lack of interest from the inhabitants and the elects regarding the European mobility.
The young people living here are not very moving, that is the reason why it is difficult for them to go on with studies or to integrate a job. This motionlessness is as much physical as psychological.

The population toe the “Country of Caux” is, for a large majority, a population living in this country since several generations which often show mistrust with new inhabitants.

Many of them are working in the local firms, but less and less of them are working for farming (note that the linseed cultivation is still made).

The “Country of Caux” is an attractive area concerning tourism and is located in the middle of a rural country, not far from the seaside and from large towns as Rouen and Le Havre.

It’s a country with a young population and, due to this fact, many schools (for instance, 4 secondary schools in the area where will act the volunteers). The associative fabric is also full of potentials with different associations that could be their partners for this action.

So, the activities of the volunteers will be guided on several places of this country, according to the transportation accommodations.

Perfil: The principle governing this project is the collective hosting of 4 EVS. It seems interesting that this group be really composed by young people with different cultures and nationalities, coming from the 4 corners of Europe.
We’ll also prioritize the co-education girls-boys and will take care to avoid that the age between the youngsters be too important.
We would like that the volunteer has :
- knowledge and eventually experiment in animation for children and youngsters
- interest for plastic arts, theatre and music
- Wish to share its experiments and his knowledge with youngsters and professionals
- Capacity of innovation and creation
- Eventually have the driving licence
Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: Every volunteer will be followed individually . The network of youth and cultural centres will look after the good coordination between these structures and will also make sure that the volunteer be in good conditions outside these structures.
It will bring to the volunteers hours of linguistics lessons, in accordance with the needs of everyone and could organize internal joint exchange days in order to speak with the volunteers of their concerns (regarding, or not, their voluntary service).
The associations will also do its utmost to find, for the volunteers, help for transportation to allow them to move, particularly during the week-ends ( Country railways cards,Country bus cards, etc …) They will benefit of the meals proposed by the organizations (for example, the meals served during the school leasure centres).
The 4 volunteers will work in their own receiving structure 4 days / 5.
According to the the hosting place, each volunteer will be involved in the life of the structure, within the framework of the proposed activities :
In our organization the young volunteer could:
- Participate to the organization of the different cultural events (music event, theatre festival of youngsters in French-speaking languages, week of international solidarity…)
- set up activities in the leisure center with children from 6 to 16 years old supervised by professionals
- present his/her country and culture to youngsters so as to develop intercultural activities
- imagine and create activities according to his/her capacities
The 4 volunteers will prepare a presentation of their country and of their experience that they will propose to different target groups. These shows will be an occasion to share regarding the European mobility and to tempt other young people to try the adventure.

These presentations could also be proposed during the leisure centres, the association workshops or the young people reception centres. Thematic evenings and exhibitions could be organized too for the members of the structures and, even, for everybody.

It will be possible, for each volunteer, to propose one or several animations (chosen by him) in accordance with the structure.
For this matter, a moment will be given to him and the structure will be kept at its disposal for any requirement.

A day per week , the volunteers will meet in order to work together on a common project that will take place at the end of the year. It could be a show, an exhibition, a video etc... This will be defined by the volunteer themselves. The coordinator will help the volunteers to lead this project by bringing them a methodology. The volunteer hosted by the the organization could be in charge of the communication concerning this project (to produce communication tools for instance).

During this training, the volunteers will learn to :

- Create and set up a common project,
- Take in account the cultural differences of every one,
- Meet the local people,
- Show creativity and dynamism,
- Develop some skills (multimedia for instance)
