Resumo: The town is one of the largest cities in Bulgaria located at 361 km from the capital – Sofia and just 100 km from the sea side and Varna Airport and not far away from the Burgas aeroport.

Community climate is moderate continental. It is situated at the foot of the Plateau of the city. The plateau has great biological diversity, offering a number of trekking routes, huts and rock monasteries, interesting caves, centuries old beech forests. The highest point measures 502 m above sea level. And historical and cultural sights.

Work on the part of the project activities is planned to be done in Youth center located in the central part of the city. The rest will be done in the Center situated on the territory of Natural Park.

Perfil: As a club with a team that mainly consist of the centre, we are open to volunteer, but also to youths who have not been members of a club. Sending institutions may have a similar activities, but for us voluteer’s profile has a greater importance.

Leading criteria for choosing volunteers for our organization:
- Willingness to work in a team
- Interest in informal education and learning through practice
- Positive attitude towards meeting and exploring new cultures, traditions and life-style
- Interest in outdoor activities led by adults
- Willingness for exploring, improving and developing their personality
- Interest in ecological activities
- Interest in the area of media development
- Interest in creating information product
We will publish information about in internet sites for youth exchange. We prefer working with organization that know well their members, we woudn't like to have contacts with associations that send volonteers that aren't their members and are new for them.

Tarefas:
Large part of the activities are planned to be held on the territory of the Center located in the town. The EVS volunteers will work together with our team. They will help us in organizing and helding various events such as:
• tent camps, trekking, hiking, craft;
• ecology - protecting and restoring of the environment, environment and water polution prevention, locating unregulated landfills for household and construction waste;
• social initiatives - helping social inclusion of disadvantaged children, social inclusion of disadvantaged persons;
• humanitarian aid - preparedness for disaster and crisis response
• educational courses, seminars, etc – rock climbing and mountaineering, building rope and wooden structures, caving, first aid and CPR, city and wilderness survival, orientation with available handy materials, a compass and a road map;
• public projects – developing and promoting major campaigns and projects aimed at solving current social problems;
• project management training – creating, planing and organizing projects and campaigns;
• activities promoting responsible citizenship, enhancement of the social engagement of young people in establishing opportunities for creative expression, exchanging ideas and experience.

The clubs have a creative role in preparing the club programs while some of the fundamental parts are traditional for all organizations around the world.
At the beginning of their stay, the EVS volunteers will take part in an organized training, aimed at introducing people, as well as the organization’s structure and activities. It is an adaptation process. EVS volunteers will be provided with enough time and space needed for adaptation according to their individual capacities and interests to the regular organization’s activities.

The EVS volunteers work load is estimated at around 38 hours per week with two rest days per week. Much of their time will be spent in the Centre, where they can take part in many different activities typical for the club.

We also expect them to help us with the Centre’s maintenance according to their skills and knowledge. They will participate in organizing and supporting the camps, trainings and seminars for exchanging valuable and interesting for them information on many different topics. The topics can be chosen by themselves.
Participation in youth media projects – social networks, radio bulletins, TV casts for young people, organizing youth concerts and festivals, photography exhibitions.

At the end of each week a plan for the next one will be prepared, meeting their needs and satisfying their new suggestions. The schedule is open for change at any time to meet volunteers’ requirements.
