Resumo:
The organization is situated in a community of approximately 800 people. It is part of a rural community and the village infrastructure is intact with a church community and several clubs. Is close to the border with Denmark. It is 17 kms South of Flensburg. Good language courses are offered regularly and the attendance is advanced.

Perfil: The volunteer should above all be open to working with disabled people. Previous experience is not necessary and it is more important that they are interested in the work and willing to get involved in this type of work. Communication is very important in our work.

we are looking for a volunteer with driving license (then he/she is allowed to use the project car). It is a nice project, but on a rural area (near the Denmark border)
age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: The volunteers are firmly bound into the group structure and take part in the group meetings. During this process they can join in and look for their own project which they can try, if possible, to carry out with the youngsters. The volunteers can be deployed in the day care unit or in one of the living communities.

Of great importance to us is the guidance on constructive use of leisure time. A large garden in the grounds of the Home with open areas, trampoline, swings, sand pits etc offer a good framework. The volunteers can support the youngsters with their homework, job seeking or motivating them to use their free time sensibly. Additionally the volunteers play a role in support of the employees as a point of contact for the youngsters. Often their foreignness makes them a particularly popular contact who can help in a different way from a German employee especially concerning the integration of unaccompanied minor refugees.
