Resumo:
The organization is a beautiful farm in the countryside situated between the rural villages that have train/ bus connection and within 20 minutes it is possible to go where several sports and spare time activities and facilities are offered.

The volunteer will be living at the organization and will therefore be expected to respect the rules of the
Centre, which means that the volunteer is not allowed to have or drink alcohol at the centre or to take drugs.
The volunteers are not allowed to be privately engaged with any of the clients.

Proposed activities for EVS volunteers:
The principle on the farm is that the tasks of the staff and volunteers are conducted alongside with the clients - working together and is an important part of the philosophy and working like this is a necessary and very effective way of establishing an essential trust relationship with the clients. Together with the staff the volunteers will build a team that plan, leads and implements the different projects. With the many different tasks, there is a great opportunity to try different areas during the year.

Every volunteer will be urged to take intercultural initiatives, to plan and implement intercultural events and make use of own background. This will add an intercultural dimension to the project and raise the level of acceptance and understanding of other cultures.

The volunteers will have the possibility of using different aspects of their own creativity in the different activities of the project. The volunteers will have the chance of learning a lot about them selves and learn how to handle marginalised, alcoholics and drug abusers in the daily life. It will be a great challenge as well as very interesting for young persons to meet and work together face to face with people of other backgrounds and other experiences.

Perfil: The volunteer should be 18-30 years old and needs to be a mature youngster, who is interested in social issues, among others dealing and working with abusers. In addition the volunteer must genuinely have taken the decision to be a volunteer, having decided to try life in another culture, and to try a life, where you think of others, where you work together in a team. The volunteer has to be independent and tolereant. Also the volunteers must be aware of and willing to adjust to the living situation in a village at the countryside.
Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: The volunteers take part in the many different tasks at the organization and may choose work areas according to their own interests: social events, physical sport activities, kitchen work, office work, laundry work, repair work maintaining the house, personal tasks (being available for a talk with a client or for practical help), production for a nearby factory (making traffic signs, putting together calendars, finishing other printed matters), creative workshops, outings, discussion / theme evenings). In joining these tasks the volunteers will get in good contact with the clients and staff, and they will take part in the job of making the organization pleasant place to stay and rehabilitate the clients to a drug and alcohol free life..

A day for the volunteers might look like this:
Breakfast together with the clients
Helping a newcomer by furnishing and decorating his room
Kitchen work together with the clients
Lunch with the clients
Taking responsibility of some orders (of traffic signs) in the production workshop
Having evening meal together with the clients
Go for leisure-time/sport-events together with the clients

In percentage the main tasks are divided like this:
Kitchen/house work together with clients 25%
Communication and talk with the clients 25%
Leading/assisting in workshops 15%
Planning activities and outings 15%
Cleaning/laundry work together with clients10%
