Resumo: The organization’s office is situated in the North north-east of Albania and has a population of 78.239. According to the economical situation, this region is considered one of the poorest in Albania, although it has lot of nature resources. The region has a homogeneous population, with no minorities where native language is Albanian, but most of young generation have started to learn and speak English. The city is situated in the border with Kosovo, where Prizren, the most beautiful city is only 30 minutes far and offers a nice of sightseen. High and very beautiful mountains in the region, as well Valbona valley and Shishtavec commune are some of the places to visit during free time of EVS volunteers. Traditional costumes in the countryside are very interesting and still in use, thus traveling in the countryside is very interesting during the free time.

The organization has enough space and it is located in the City center, where EVS volunteers could reach easyly. There is engouf space withing the office to work, with personal computers, with acces to internet.

Accomodation of EVS will be in appartments with standarts, having water, electicity and heating during the winter. Each volunteer will have their space and all necesary condition for living. Internet will be provided in office and in volunteer house. About the food allowance we will discuss in advance with the volunteers and decide upon volunteers interest. Pocket money will be given in the begining of the month. If volunteers would like, we can open a bank account for him/her.

Apart for usual markets there is a local market where EVS volunteers will find local products, in this case, we are going to support EVS volunteers to do shopping in the city. EVS volunteers will be provided with accessoires to cook at home.
An albanian language course will be provided for volunteers in the three first months and if volunteers will like to continue the course the organisation will support the volunteer to improve albanian language skills for the entire duration of EVS programme.

Perfil: We are open for any volunteer which has the will to work under the rules of EVS programm and has the profile of the activities we implement. Our preference is to atract volunteers with experience on Human Rights Education, youth participation, inclusion topic, but expereince is not a necessary condition, for us is very important the motivation of volunteer for learning and geting engaged in work we do in our organisation. Volunteers should have good comands in english from 18-30 years old.

The volunteers will be selected by the board of the association based in the motivation of the volunteers. The process will be transparent and offer equal opportunity for all the volunteers who might apply to be part of our work.

Volunteers will be chosen in cooperation with the partner organisations. There is no special requirments for partner organizations, if they are networks or not. For us is important that association are working seriously since is important to maintain the cooperation and communication for the whole duration of the project and follow up stage.

Tarefas: Youth in Free Initatiative association has a long experience on youth work which can be shared with EVS volunteers. We have different programmes with different donors where EVS volunteers can be involved and learn a lot from what we do in the region. Human Rights Education, youth participation, democracy promotion, youth exchanges, public debates, researches, surveys, trainings, online and street campaigns; are some of the activites we implement, which could be interested for EVS volunteers.

The role of volunteers within our organization involves them as learners, facilitators and of course coordinators, depending on their interest and skills. As we have mentioned above the main interest for future activites, we are interested on European awareness, which means activites related to the integration process, education of young people regarding the european citizenship, communication and campaigns related on youth issues. EVS volunteers will be supporting our project leaders and coordinators and their role will be secondary, avoiding them from the responsabilities.
Another component of our interest is Education through sport and outdoor activities. Youth exchanges, summer camps, sport activities, such as climbing, football, travelling and workshops are some of the activities to be implemented during the EVS programms.

Learning is one of the benefits for EVS volunteers. Learning is aspect of youth work, culture, language and people. We ensure the process of learning about youth work through working and being present in the activities. While about culture, we will inform about the culture and share free time travelling in the region. EVS volunteers depending on their staying time, will be able to enhance the knoledge of Albanian language. For this reason we will run albanian language courses weekly bases. EVS volunteers will have the opportunity to know new people, through our activities and during the free time. We have a big network of young people visiting us every day and others participating our activities, thus they will have the opportunity to meet many people in the region.
Volunteers will have their space to be creactive and create new project ideas with the support of staff and local volunteers of the association.

Intercultural dimension is very important for us. EVS volunteers will have the opprotunity to share and learn about our culture during the activities we organize. We always during our activities organize intercultural evening, where people dance, sing, speaks about their culture. This will help them to integrate within local community easier.

The work that volunteers will do within our association is:
- art activities with youngsters in the centre
- sport activities with youngsters in the center
- leisure time and creativity activities with local volunteers
- working in newsletter which will be published once a month
- promotion of volunterism in high schools of town and sorounded areas
- educational activities with youngsters from high schools and the University
- free space for creating new projects with local volunteers
Learning outcomes: Volunteers will improve team working skills, communication skills, project writting skills, facilitations and coordination skills, critical thinking and analyzing skills ect.
All the activities will be planned in advance and discussed with the supervizor, staff and volunteers, Ongoing support will be given to volunteer even from the local volunteers.

For youngsters with fewer opportunities, especially disabled volunteers we have all necesary phisical facilities in our office. They can perform activities with young people as it is described above with the support of the staff of the association.
