Resumo: The office of Public body is situated in a city with 43.000 inhabitants. There are 4 different theatres, few galleries, 2 cinemas, city cultural house, 2 big parks, 2 night clubs, lots of cafee, restourans, super-markets inside the city. More information about the city situated in the West-North of Lithuania.

There are 4 emplyers and around 150 visitos (including their families) during a year. The occupation is organised through different basicly artistic workshops such as felt, glass, ceramic, painting on silk and so on. In one workshop group take part from 6 to 8 visitors. Beside daily workshops the centre organise different cultural activities, celebrations, organise exibitions, summer camps, physical therapy activities.

The target group is the people with physical dissabilities (small, medium, high). Majority is older people age 50 and over but there are some visitors who are 27-30 years old. The majority of the target group are female.

The volunteer will work in the centre working with the people with physical dissabilities during workshops, camps, cultural activities. Volunteers will join the daily activities as well as will assist during camps and will have possibility to implement their own initiatives.
Staff knows Russian, English languages.

Perfil: We would like to have a volunteer which is an active and has an interest to work with people with dissabilities. He/she should have interest in art and culture. Another important thing is also creativity working and initiative work with dissable people. We are willing to have some different intercultural experience.

Also volunteer will have a possibility to spend time in coordinating organization, together with its members and local youth, to have free time activities together.
The selection of volunteer will be made by hosting organisation responsible persons.

Volunteer will have tutor (person from the centre staff) and mentor (from hosting/coordinating organization), coordinator and friend who will assist volunteer leisure activities in the beginning of EVS.

Tarefas: In the beginning the volunteer will be introduced about centre activities, their daily working day. In the start of EVS volunteer will only assist the accupation specialist working directly wiht visitors through different artistic workshops.
The volunteer will gain technical and vocational skills in dissable people occupation organisation and care.
The cooperation in a social-cultural project will afford the volunteer a vocational orientation and a perspective for the professional life.
Having the responsibility for designing and realisation of leisure facilities will enhance self-assurance and self-confidence of the volunteer.
Participation in internal professional development activities will provide the volunteer with specialised knowledge of the education and occupation system for disable people.
Integration in a foreign culture and the self-determined life of the local community will afford the volunteer a personal orientation and increase the development of future perspectives.
Volunteers will work alongside qualified stuff member, will help the staff to assist the dissabile people in learning and carrying out the activities, workshops.
Volunteer will have a possibility to work with group alone, implementing his.her own initiative, activity but always alongside staff in the capacity of an assistant.
Volunteers could develop their own ideas putting new intercultural activities or artistic workshops as well as language course. The remaining of volunteers' time will be spent in helping with other aspects of work at the centre - assisting with preparation for the workshops, cleaning and preparing equipment, planning activities and courses, preparing exibitions, making – dessigning advertisiment and so on. The first months volunteer will have lithuanian language course.
The main work of volunteer could be intercultural activities (traditional games, songs, dances, language courses, cultural club, traditional kichen and so on) and different art workshops. The main task is to give a variety to our centre activities, to give possibility to our visitors to know other culture and to make contact with young foreign people.
Like all staff members volunteers are expected to carry out some work of routine like:
- preparing of workshop group rooms for work;
- cleaning at the end of work;
- maintenance working materials;
- assistance stuff during workhops helping for visitors.

Horário: Centre is open five days a week, from Monday till Friday. Work day starts at 9 and ends at17:00. Volunteer will work in the centre from 9 till 17.
9:00-10:00 Preparation activities (planing the day, preparing the material and place for the workshop).
10:00-13:00 assist during the workshop (art, handicarfts and so on) activities.
13:00-14:00 lunch brake.
14:00- 16:00 assist during workshop (art, handicarfts and so on) activities
16:00 -17:00 – cleaning the activity palce and making order after workshop activities.
