Resumo: The activity is going to take place in a town of 3.700 inhabitant. They speak Spanish and there we can find several cultural services for leisure time and free time (public library, cinema, pubs, music school, house of culture …), as well as a point of Young Information in the Youth hostel. It is a town with good connections, with direct buses to Zaragoza and Barcelona, and with several paths to do excursions on foot or by bicycle. Volunteers would stay at the Youth hostel because there is an apart apartament with two bedrooms, a dining room, a kitchen and a bathroom. The access to the apartment is inside the Hostel, which is in the center of the town.

Perfil: The requested profile is the following one:

o Is motivated for working with adults with physical and intellectual disability
o With a social awarness and promotion of the equality
o Open minded
o With the willings of improving personal skills
o Hard-worker
o With Spanish language skills
o Experienced with team work


We would like to collaborate with organizations of reception that work inside the area of the intellectual disability and / or of the young information.

The process of selection will be transparent and will be made according to criteria of adequacy to the sent project, in any case the final decision to choose will never be taken by a unique person, we will do a meeting with the technical personnel team and we come to a consensus, taking into account the previously renowned characteristics.
Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: Foundation offers OPPORTUNITIES OF SERVICE AND LEARNING for the volunteers such us:
- Intellectual disability training.
- Training to know how the Entity works, how the work is made in the Occupational Center, in the Day Center, in the Residence of Disability and in the Youth hostel.
- Resources training at a Regional level (social, touristic and economic)
- Young information training (given in the PIJ of the Hostel)
ROLE OF THE VOLUNTEERS
- Support on the attention to the intellectual disability of the Residence, Occupational Center and Day Center on moments of leisure and free time.
- Support on the accomplishment of laboral and work activities to the intellectual disability in the Youth hostel.
- Support on the coordination of the informative activities of the PIJ of the Youth hostel.
- Support on the dynamization of sociocultural projects made in the Youth hostel.
- Support on the dynamics of the group of the town young local voluntary work.
ACTIVITIES
- Holidays programmes: Week of holidays with a group of people with intellectual disability (escort and support on the creation of leisure activities)
- Leisure programme in Alcorisa: Outdoor and indoor swimming pool, walks by local paths, going out at night, support on the creation of the float for local festivities, fancy dresses for Carnival, birthdays…
- Social and Work activities of Young Hostel with people with intellectual disability: room cleaning and maintenance of sheets and towels; artistic recycling activities for children and adults across the programme PLASTIKA, where people with intelectual disability are the recycling instructors.
- Activities of spreading of interesting information at local, regional, national and international level in the space of the PIJ.
- Point of young Information.
- Activities of support on the dynamization of the International Work camp of the INJUVE for the signposting path.
- Activities of meeting and training with the group of the town local young voluntary work.
