Resumo: EVS volunteers will be involved in all central activities of the project and in all the stages of the activities: preparation/implementation/evaluation. Involvement of volunteers will be direct, but facilitated by representatives of organization's promoters. Methodology of the EVS volunteers' involvement in the activities proposed is a predominantly non-formal and the measures that will be taken by promoting organizations belong to a well-outlined theoretical platform, inspired by principles, values and vectors of Youth in Action program, as they are specified and described in official documents. EVS volunteers will incorporate and shade the proposed activities so that they respond to the needs of learning, taking into account the expectations and fears of each individual. Each EVS volunteer, each local volunteer and other beneficiary actors of the present project will be actively involved in all the moments/ stages of activities. One of the important parts of the project environment will be regular meetings with local stakeholders from hosting organization.

Periodically, EVS volunteers will promote "door-to-door" the activities developed and the Youth in Action program (with emphasis on European Voluntary Service). EVS volunteers will talk to locals to whom they will present the project and will answer to their questions. EVS volunteers and local volunteers will start their promotion through meetings with local residents since the first days of stage. It is notable that the "door-to-door" promotion will be achieved step-by-step.

All volunteers will be distributed in the various hosting communities. The city is one of the biggest community. The city is situated in the North-West, at 30 km. It's well known for its history and as important center for the Romanian and Balkan orthodoxies, but also for its geography, the hospitality of the people and its customs and traditions.

These facts promote the cultural-religious tourism and agro-tourism. It consists of 11 villages and 7578 inhabitants. Working group: 4472: almost 50% in industrial sector or other fields of activity. 25% in agriculture, 5% in service sector and less than 1% in public administrations, rest in health care, financials and banks, post and telecommunication, public alimentation, tourism and education (teachers). And a lot of people work also in the traditional field: work with wood.
There are kinder garden, primary school, secondary school and high school. Attractive points are: Beautiful landscape close to the mountains with a forest, Holy monastery, Heroic monumental in the center to the fallen heroes of the two World Wars and the war of Independence, the place where a special type of fish is cultivated, Tourists find place in 17 rural pensions.

There is one tradition/symbolic day in the community. 15 August - every year it takes place a big feast at the local day. It symbolizes the non-corrupt keeping of the old traditions, the eternal, pastoral holiday and the memory of the phenomenal history. One more specific thing about the city is that approximately 4 000 persons are working to make traditional costumes (Handmade) and carpets. These kind of models of costume and carpet you can find only in the city.

Perfil: 18 - 30 years old young people regardless of religion, social or educational background. During the recruitment process, it is important to keep the gender and geographical balance. Other requests: Education will be plus; Language proficiency: at least basic level of English (being able to make herself/himself understood by others/able to communicate); motivation; availability and desire to live in the countryside of Gorj County.

Open call (on time) and description of project is very important for selection process of volunteers. All interested candidates will be asked to send following documents: Motivation Letter, Curriculum Vitae (with recent picture) and Support Letter from their sending organization. After it, they will wait for announcing the results for successful applications.

Tarefas: During the volunteering in Hosting Organization they will have a chance to stimulate the intercultural learning process and enhance the European Awareness and Active Participation within the hosting communities in the County; to provide the context and the opportunities for all volunteers to develop both personally as well as socially by acquiring and improving new skills and competences as well as boost their self-confidence; to increase tolerance towards different cultures by learning and accepting the cultural differences; to contribute to the community development by boosting the participation and active involvement of young people in their local communities; to encourage the participation of youngsters with fewer opportunities; to widen and strengthen the partnership and co-operation relation in between all project promoters.

All the activities will be developed in 3 dimensions: personal development, development within the host organization and community youth development. The volunteers will be charged with designing, organizing, and implementing, in conjunction with local counterparts and youngsters from their hosting communities, a variety of activities such as:
- Sport events
- Environmental activities
- Group games
- Thematic workshops
- Youth camps
- Theatre and art creative workshop
- Music and dance
- Cultural awareness and learning activities, etc.

All volunteers will get the opportunity to get involved in other national and/or international programmes and activities developed by the organization during the EVS Service. The role of the volunteers will be that of attending all the meetings, trainings and scheduled activities, dedicate their time according to the recommended hours in assisting in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of various activities:
" Attend all preparation, evaluation, planning and thematic trainings (On Arrival)
" Attend all language classes, participate in the class, learn and prepare accordingly
" prepare themselves for each meeting with the requested materials (for example: filling on time the monthly evaluation forms)
" Assist the local community facilitator and contribute actively in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of community non formal education activities
" Work with the youngsters of the hosting communities; propose activities, discussion topics, share opinions, cultural and traditional customs, etc.

" Openly communicate with the mentor, the local community facilitator, his/her peer volunteers and the EVS coordinator
" Be responsible and meet one's tasks accordingly
Except of these activities, volunteers are free and their volunteering depends on their creativeness. They can implement different kind of activities. For example: "Taste the World" - It is activity when volunteers have possibility to present their culture, traditional food and give others opportunity to taste it. "Summer Camp for Friendship" - it is summer camp for children of local/ hosting communities. During the camp, children from different communities will spend time together and will have possibility to integrate. EVS Garden" - it is symbolic garden of volunteers where they can plant the trees with their names. "EVS Caravan" - means promotion of European Voluntary Service with flayers and special T-shirts. Informational flayers are possibility to give students basic information and interest of EVS.
