Resumo: The hosting organization was established in 1993, doing its activities in two counties. Our Organization’s main target is to raise awareness and to improve the culture
regarding the culture of having a pet, animal rights and their protection. From the beginning we realized that a
very good way of achieving our goal is through different activities, providing useful information during animal
protection programs that will raise awareness about the importance of responsible pet care.Running an animal shelter is a very important task and a substitution but not the solution to the problem.

With an increasing demand for animal housing, the Animal Shelter, in 1998 started to build a new shelter building,
with its final location. Since its beginnings, our Animal Shelter has been one of the best
and well equipped shelters in Hungary.

Because it is the only animal shelter in the area previously mentioned, it can also provide services for the
people outside this regions, who would like to find a new home or adopt a dog or a cat. The pets found in the
shelter are constantly receiving medical care including all vaccines and a microchip.

In 1997 we have contacted the World Society for Animal Protection (WSPA) and after a visit of their
representatives some technical and organizational advices were given to us to improve our activity. Since then,
WSPA has been kept updated regarding our Organizations work, and in 2000 we we accepted to be part of
their Community, where later in 2001, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA)
accepted us as a member, therefore securing the cooperation work in the partnership. With the time going by

more nad more citizens got acquanted with our Organization and its activities, therefore, the number of people
that contact us regarding questions related to animal protection and care grows day by day.

Perfil: age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: Take part in the NGO everyday life, so help for the animals, and deal with the pets.
