Resumo: The majority of projects are intended for the young people living in the town and in the villages that surround it, as well as our intend to develop projects of sending EVS volunteers abroad for short and long term voluntary stages.
The natural variety of the town, offered its inhabitants suitable conditions for living since very old-times. The sudden economical development of the city gains it the rank of free regal city. The industrial revolution brings a spectacular development of the branches that processes the local resources such as: alimentary industry, wood industry, fabric industry and many others. The geographical position, social background and economical situation of the local community are just a few elements that are very important in one EVS project. By involving the EVS volunteers we want to improve the local community situation from different points of view (discovering new cultures, new ideas, new attitudes, common values, the necessity of respecting the others ), we will create a European reality around them, we will sustain several principles underlying the concept of active citizenship, etc.
In the moment that the volunteers come in the city, the persons that are responsible with the project will do their best to help them with accommodating the volunteers in the new community, to introduce and integrate them and to show them around. They will schedule for the volunteers fun and relaxing activities for spending the free time. We will organize periodical visits in different cities where we are doing activities or where we have partners in an educational purpose, formal and non formal, moreover, the volunteers will have the opportunity to interact in this way also with other volunteers, both local and international ones.
We will give the volunteers the possibility to work both in an urban and rural environment in order to acquire a varied experience, to be able to see the differences, to adapt and have different experiences and to bring work together with locals, even if they come social environments, having different religions, social statuses, as they will learn to be tolerant and not to discriminate.
For a more efficient communication between the volunteers and the local community, the organization will offer them the possibility to follow a Romanian course.
From the activities that we propose for the EVS volunteers can be mentioned both individual and group activities. While the individual activities will help them develop their own skills in they will have an important impact over their personality; the group activities will teach them how to work as a team in an international environment and help them develop plans in accordance with common European values. In all of these activities there will be used measures and instruments of non formal education.
We will provide opportunities for volunteers to develop natural skills, skills and facilitate their acquisition of knowledge will ensure that volunteers will benefit from a range of activities and processing of learning experiences and outcomes of activities and exchange of experience among other volunteers.
Even though the volunteers will have scheduled activities and precise goals, we, the coordinating team, will permanently keep in touch with them and communicate in order to improve and adjust the activities in order to suit each one of them better, and to be able to reach the aims and objectives set in the beginning.
The recruitment process of the volunteers will be a transparent one. It shall not be influenced by gender, race, nationality, ethnicity, religious believes, sexual orientation, political point of view nor educational level. We welcome any volunteer that is interested to work with us and has the necessary ability and required experience for our projects.
Priority in recruitment of volunteers will have: candidates from disadvantaged situations social difficulties, difficulty in participating in the educational process, the geographical and economic difficulties, disabilities and health problems, cultural differences, all likely to represent the risks of marginalization or exclusion and social existence ,and a match between the expectations of the volunteer and the project.
Perfil: Even if the skills and competencies of potential volunteers will not be a criterion-out, certain values that they share will be considered. We mention this because we have to ensure a match between their profiles, activities in which specific projects will be involved and the rest of the group. The volunteers selected will be characterized by openness to European values, solidarity, flexibility, ability to adapt, social responsibility.
Age: 18 until 30 years old
Tarefas: The main activities which will be implemented within the project are the following:
- outdoor activities with children and youth from the local community
- ecological activities around the Jiu river
- journalistic activities
- outdoor activities within the aeroculb Craiova
