Resumo:
The project environment will be within a town about 40minutes away from city and about 2.5 hours from London, located in a valley environment just south. The townl was at the centre of the UK Iron and Coal industries and since it's decline in the 1980s has experienced high unemployment and low economic activity. The town is now experiencing an increase in the amount of immigrants moving to the area with a lot of migrant workers from Portugal and Poland. Volunteers will live and work in the town and will have easy access to Cardiff and the surrounding area at weekends and in their spare time.

Perfil: age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: Volunteers will be able to get involved in a range of activities relating to different areas of the organization work. The precise details of a placement will vary according to the time of year, but volunteers should expect to have a range of key tasks that involve working with staff and volunteers. Core tasks could include; planning and supporting trainings and events, meeting and interviewing volunteers to collect case studies, work in the ‘Peace Garden’ and general office support. EVS volunteers will also have the chance to develop their own smaller projects during the placement, depending on their own skills and interests and current opportunities at the organization.
