Resumo: Project is about offering sport si outdoor activities to disadvantaged children 6-12 years from our community as a free time recreational after-school program.
The program is Monday to Friday 12.00- 18.00 and it takes place in a public school in the city.
The 10 EVS volunteers will work side by side with youthworkers from our organization to provide this educational opportunity for about 150 disadvantaged children (poor families, families with social issues, mono-parental, rroma ethnic minority) who otherwise would not have the chance to have an afternoon program or possibilities to spend their free time.
Perfil: • unemployed young people or disadvantaged young people (facing economic or social issues, those who abandon educational system, ethnic minorities in their countries, living in isolated areas, physical disabled)
• young people passionate about our projects, interested to learn and motivated to help us
age: 18 until 30 years old
Tarefas: • plan, prepare and organize a daily sport and outdoor educational program of 6 hours Monday to Friday for children 6 to 12 years from the city
• promote after school program and its activities in the local community
• plan and organise 2 local sport contests where children from different local schools organised in teams can participate
• encourage and support young people from our community involvement as volunteers in the afterschool program
• organize workshops in highschools and universities in the city where they can share their experience as EVS volunteers and encourage volunteering
