Resumo: This organization is a project of Volunteer Bulgaria along with EVS team will be designing and implementing Ecological Gardens in the village of Shipka with the aim to regenerate some of the green spaces in the village. A number of neglected green spaces have been identified by the Project director and the local mayorship with view to transform them into
productive ecological gardens. The established Gardens will be of high aesthetic appeal,
beneficial to wildlife, low maintenance and providing a useful yield of herbs and fruit for local
residents and visitors. An EVS team of 6 volunteers will be working with the organization
and the local community to design and implement the gardens. The roles of the volunteers will
include: identifying community wishes and needs regarding the green spaces, tidying up of
existing green areas including projects in the local kindergarten, propagation of plants for the
gardens, preparing of planting areas, designing of gardens based on community feedback.

Perfil: We would like to work with volunteers who are self-starters, well-organized, honest and hard-working. They are interested in the environment, permaculture, growing their own food, and in general living in an environmentally friendly way.
age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: ● Volunteers will be actively promoting regeneration of the green spaces in the town and
taking part in designing projects and working on existing sites based on feedback from
local residents.
● Tidying up existing areas
● Planting a garden in the central park
● Implementing Gardens features in the Local Kindergarten.
● Weekly BG language courses will be available to all volunteers from the language school
in kazanluk.
● All Volunteers will participate in a 1 week Permaculture Garden Design Course
● Two volunteers on a 6 month stay will participate in a 2 week permaculture Design
Course
