Resumo: The project will take place in a city located in the centre of Poland. Thsi is a big, developing city (second city in Poland according to the amount of inhabitants).Year by year Lodz is becoming more and more a creative, dynamic city with lots of cultural spaces, festivals, events and others.

The hosting organization is a non-profit, apolitical, non-governmental consulting-educational organization. Its activities focus on supporting educational initiatives and programs in the areas of women activity, human rights, media, social and legal reforms.

The main goals of the organization:
- Inspiring women's development
- Researching stereotypes, working towards gender equality
- Promoting democratic citizenship and raising women's awareness of social quality
- Creating better condition for women's professional development and wider participation in the public sphere
- Helping women adjust to the new democratic developments and dynamics of the economy market
- Promoting and supporting of women's entrepreneurship

I order to reach these goals, the organization organizes various activities, including Regional edition of the National Women's Congress in collaboration with womanhood of the city, once a year in March.

On the international level, the organization is active in the Youth in Action and GRUNDTVIG programmes. Since 2005 the association have hosted and sent many volunteers.

Perfil: We'd like to host volunteers interested in one or more of the following subjects: citizen activity, sociology, human rights, sex discrimination, gender, art, media, psychology, education, management, European policies. Type of sending organization, country, sex doesn’t matter. Courageous, open, communicative, active, responsible and optimistic person would feel in our organization and in this project the most comfortable.
age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: 10 volunteers will be working 5 days a week (approx. 30 hours a week) from Monday to Friday. Working hours are flexible, agreed with the volunteers and other people involved. Tasks of this short term EVS tasks are linked with an event which will take place in the city on 22nd and 23rd of March - Women's Congress. Congress deals with women issues and is connected with several fields from politics, business and economy, to art and social sciences. In order to foster the successfulness of this event, EVS Volunteers are to take part in the following tasks: 1. Promote Women's Congress: the task of the volunteers will be working together in groups to help the promotion of the event. Among the possible initiatives, we propose street art exhibitions with the use of drums and other musical instruments. Anyway, we expect every volunteer will develop his talents, use his creativity and tools we will provide develop to ideas suitable for the promotion. To help the volunteers in this tasks, the organization will provide workshop /activities connected with communication, PR, practical knowledge and support. 2. Prepare a Seminar within Women's Congress. We are would like volunteers to get deeply involved in the Congress, that’s why we want them to make research around the topic “Europe for young women” and develop into Panel/Seminar of the Congress. Also in this case, the organization will provide workshops/discussions and other theoretical and practical knowledge that may be needed to fulfil the task.
