Resumo: The city is situated on the left bank of the river Danube and it is the capital of the Autonomus Province of Vojvodina.

Together with the outskirts settlements they have 304.519 inhibitants in total. The city is ecnomoic, fair, cultural-artistic and health centre. The city of an exquisite beauty and rich cultural-historical tradition has always known to greet and host its guests. It is the city of creticve workers. A mixture of cultures, mentalities and customs is maybe what made creative workers from the city understandable to people all over the world. The cityis also university centre and is full of young people, especially during the summer whet the biggest international music festival in South East Europe – EXIT take place. Since the very beginning the city has strongly developed its economy. It is the city with devloped industry and the centre of the most fertile agriculture region in the country. The vicinty of Fruska Gora, iodine spa, sandy beaches along the Danube and Petrovaradin Fortress have a favourable impact on development of tourism.

The EVS projects will take place in the office of the organization in the very centre of the city. We share the space with our partner organization – Volunteers Centre of Vojvodina, whose activities are similar to ours. The space is quite big and divided into office space, where the staff and volunteers of both organizations are doing their dayly activities and the large space for meetings, trainings, workshops, etc.

The organization has 5 working places with a computer in the office, out of which 2 are dedicated to the EVS volunteers. Office area is covered with wifi internet which is available for volunteers during the working hours, but every volunteer will get his/hers own set of keys of the office and will have opportunity to come and use internet whenever there is no activities and during weekends.

The volunteer will stay in an appartment, where he/she will have single room with all facilities. There will be separate kithchen, since he/she will need to prepare meals on their own.
As the optimum number of EVS volunteers is 2, we tend not ot have more volunteers at the same time. Every volunteer will have a trained mentor, person outside the organization, who will be chosen trough the open call and by his/hers previouse experience. It is suggested that volunteer and mentor meet at least every 2 weeks. In the office, volunteer will respond to the supervisor, the person incharged for the programme in the organization on which he/she will be involved and to the EVS coordinator.

Volunteers will be strongly encouraged to take active part in the organization by attending the monthly meetings where they will have the equal rights in process of decission making and organizing activities together with local volunteers, members of the organization. Friendship with local volunteers and mentor will help and acelerate integration into local community.
