Resumo: The organization has almost 380,000 inhabitants, being the biggest city in the Canary Islands.

The organization is one of the biggest multidisciplinary organisation in the European continent. Our activities must be based, at least, on one of the following mainstays: peace and stability, cultural exchange, higher education and active citizenship.

Some of our projects: “Where does Europe end?”, defining the idea that citizens have of Europe; “Youth UnEmployment” with the aim of raising awareness among young people about voluntary work and its usefulness for their professional life and to make entrepreneurs value this kind of “invisible” work, very difficult to certificate; “YouRope Needs You!”, to inform young people and secondary students about Europe, its institutions, exchange programmes,...

The organization is in our province a reference for exchange students (Erasmus, Seneca, Latin America,...).
We count with about 50 members, being 20 of them very active at a local and European level.

Perfil: - With advanced English and Spanish language skills. - Basic design, PR, FR, IT and web editing skills. - Flexible, optimistic, responsible, open-minded and easy-going. - Active experience in organization or similar organizations (BEST, AIESEC, ESN, EESTEC...) is a plus.
age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: ACTIVITIES PROPOSED FOR EVS VOLUNTEERS We offer the following to our volunteers: -Spanish language course for foreigners. -Active participation in the activities for the integration of exchange students in the city (barbecues, trekking, sport activities, meetings...). -Active participation in trips to the islands with local young people and exchange students. -Active participation in the trips to national and international meetings of the organization.

-Active participation in the dissemination and visibility of the organisation in the city. -Active participation in relations with institutions. From the first moment, volunteers will play a dynamic, active and participative role. What we ask for is an adaptation to our clear European vocation. We want people who feel Europe, its values and characteristics, who want to share their culture and show it to other young people. Volunteers will have no absolute responsibilities of events or activities, as there will be no job substitution. They will actively collaborate with us and give an added value to our regular actions, giving a new, fresh air to our activities. They will also open a door to a new line of work, with YiA as a reference.

Volunteers will participate in the mentioned activities. We believe that our horizontal working system will allow volunteers to create new spaces, services and activities in our organisation.
