Resumo: Since its foundation in 1995 the main activities of the sportsclub are located in the Inn-Salzach region (Altötting, Mühldorf/ Inn, Rottal-Inn districts). In 2007 it could settle down at a three building complex near the little town Simbach-Inn at the Austrian border. The former farm provides, as an AIKI-EN-project, a creative sphere of activity close to nature in a rural surrounding. Therefore it is suitable for various fields of educational applications and programs of the sports club. Organizational, one part of the AIKI-EN is formed by the Jugendbildungswerk Rottal-Inn (JBW), the other part is formed by the Aikido Boarding School for Integral Learning and Ethical Education.
The JBW offers seminars and courses for young people between 4 and 27 years of age following the principles of Budopedagogics. It deals with the topic of violence and aggressivity at widest range, offers an innovative personal coaching (Cooperative Learning in Movement), as well as an Integration- and Housing-project for young people, including a Motivation-, Work- and Competence-Training.
The Boarding School institutionalizes the long term experiences of the club and is widening the perspective from a national to an international adjustment. The little Boarding School with its special (experience-) budo-pedagogical alignment has an international target group of applicants.
The Place of activity is settled in the country. The nearby town of Simbach-Inn is located at a well-served railroad relations to Munich (90 min), Salzburg (60 min) and Linz (90 min). Simbach is an outward looking small town active in town-partnerships and supporting a manifold offer for culture and leisure. The historical and cultural town Burghausen is only 25 km away. The nearby ´Bavarian Spa-Triangle` supports opportunities for wellness and recreation. The Northern-Alps, a famous region for nature- and leisure activities can be reached in only an hour drive. The volunteers can link up with local members of the club and they are in this way flexible and mobile in their leisure time duties.
The volunteers are, according to the phase they are in, housing in the dormitories of the JBW or in the rooms of the Boarding School. For all residents of the AIKI-EN the strict rules of the youth protection law, the personality forming educational structures of the JBW and the Boarding School (structures on job, time and group) and in daily Aikido Training the particular Etiquette are effective. The volunteers should serve as a peer group for the younger ones supporting all four educational pillars: Personality Education and Integration – Communication and Values Education – Structure Guideline and Ethics – Ecology and Environmental Awareness.

Perfil: The main condition on the application for the EVS at the sports club is the interest in studying the peaceful martial art Aikido, both theoretically and practically, the readiness for critical analysis of one self (ability of reflection) and the goodwill to apply and put into action the (self-) educating principles of Aikido within the five fields of assignment at the AIKI-EN. An interest in cultural diversity and in working with young people (partly also disadvantaged children and youngsters) would be most welcome, as well as joy in constructively bringing in one´s personal competences and interests in the jobs. Neither social, economic, cultural or geographic origin are significant, nor religion or color of skin are important. The majority of accepted volunteers will be male, because of the predominant work with male youngsters (Peer group function).
Preferably we want to cooperate with sending clubs and organizations, which are dedicated to the teaching and training of the martial art Aikido and its principles. They will be serving as a base for a permanent and extensive international network for the educational tours of the Boarding School students and can profit most of the returning volunteers. Nevertheless also other youth organizations are a possibility, because pre-knowledge in Aikido is not required. Preferably we want to cooperate with SO´s in the south- and southeast Europe. Cooperation will be made easier through common international Aikido seminars. The plan is, within the 12-month service, to give seminars every time together with one leading Aikido teacher of each SO-nation at the AIKI-EN. Considering the conditions at the job markets of the south (east) European states (high unemployment rate of young people) applicants without apprentice or unemployed are preferred.
Each aspirant writes a letter of application containing a short curriculum vitae, a description of the personal situation, a list of motivate reasons for the EVS and a formulation about the expectations and personal advantage of one year in EVS.
Age: 18 until 30 years old.

Tarefas: The volunteers get to know all fields of activity of the sports club and they can choose areas of responsibility as they personally like. All areas contain practical and theoretical work. The association cooperates with the Montessori (Ober-) Schule Eggenfelden. In addition to the daily offers for personal training (Meditation, Relaxation Exercises, Aikido-Personality- Training) and the general duties around the AIKI-EN, which every occupant has to discharge, there are the following areas of responsibility:
1. Youth Residence Project (for pupils of Montessori School): Support and responsibility for young people in learning projects and daily duties (housekeeping, purchase, catering), organization of leisure activities together with youngsters and company in excursions, and leisure time arrangements; help in building the Permaculture garden.
2. Seminars and Courses: help in organization and realization of youth education seminars, taking the self-responsibility as a person in charge (later perhaps as an assistant) in Violence-Prevention- and Anti-Violence-Courses, accompany personal coaching ´Cooperative Learning in Movement`.
3. Boarding School (partner school: Montessori Schule Eggenfelden): Cooperation in shaping, arrangement and maintenance of the Boarding School community, assistance in responsibility of the community (Tutor) and organization of group activities.
4. Organization: Development and cultivation of the European Network: building a stabile international structure of Aikido-friends for the “Small Tour” of the Boarding School students. Chance to develop personal projects and seminars, for public relations and assistance in the arrangement of our newsletter ´AIKI-EN Echo`.
5. Gardening and Nature Conservation (amoung other things Earth-Child-Project of the Montessori School Eggenfelden): Help in the set up and care of the outdoor areas of the AIKI-EN (about 6.000 square meters Permaculture Garden, silence and leisure areas, training area, protection of endangered species and biological diversity).
During their stay the volunteers take various roles: they make experiences as attendant participant, they take the responsibility upon oneself as a person in charge, they can be organizer and assistant. Because of educational reasons the volunteers have to sleep in a dormitory in the first six weeks of their stay and possibly while being on charge in taking care for youngsters. Generally the 12-month stay is divided into three phases:
During the first phase (Training phase: about 3 month) it is of immediate importance to meet the people in the AIKI-EN, to get to know the daily duties and the various areas of responsibility in the AIKI-EN. The volunteers have the possibility to get to know all areas in a rotating system and to acquire basic knowledge in Aikido. In This phase is important to make personal experience in the structure and to get to know the learning environment and the teaching methods.
During the second phase (Stabilization phase: 3-6 month) the volunteers specialize in certain fields of responsibility, take part in the programs and walk along with the educationalists, trainers and coaches. They deeply go into certain projects, extend their knowledge in Aikido and they look at the personality educating aspects of Aikido from different perspectives. If they like they can gain first experiences in teaching and guiding young people. It is possible to make an apprenticeship in teaching children.
During the third phase (Implementation phase: 3-6 month) the volunteers take responsibility as a person in charge or as a group leading role model. They can plan projects and organize and put them into action together with experienced educationalists.
The fields of responsibility and the activities of each volunteer are reflected every two weeks.
