Resumo: The region is situated in the central region of Romania, in Harghita County. In our region there are living around 55.000 people, 20.000 in the town, and the rest in the neighbouring 7 villages. The majority of the population (92%) is Hungarian but in the region there are living a significant group of Romanians (7%) and a small minority of Rromani (gipsy) people. So we are living in a multiethnic, multicultural region. The region is situated in a mountain basin, the villages near the town are easy to reach and only in a few kilometers distance (4-15 km).

There are three major natural touristic places: Lacu Rosu and Bicaz Pass, Izvorul Muresului and Bucin. The town is the center of the region, also in educational means, so there are a lot of youngsters in the town (there are 4 high-schools in the town), but after finisihing high-school youngsters usually leave the region, because the region is underdeveloped in economical means. There are possibilities to attend cultural and sports events (theater, museum, library, concerts, some pubs and parties, ice hockey games - on national championship level, football and futsal - div D and Div B, basketball) and also practice sports (hiking, basketball, tennis, skating, winter sports)

There are a lot of NGOs working in the region, with different target groups and activities (youth, environment, social problems, disability, democracy projects, cultural projects, sports). We would like to be a coordinating organization, which means that the majority of EVS project activities will be organized by different NGOs in the region and will be coordinated by us.

Our organization's future EVS projects will be connected to the realization and functioning of the local youth-center.

Perfil: The profile of the volunteers will depend on the actual projects. As a coordinator organization we will participate in all of the recruitment processes. We want to ensure support for the hosting organizations in the planning of the EVS project, drawing the profile of the volunteer for the specific project, announcing the projects through our partner network (organization that we have met on international training courses) and through the national agencies, and we would like to develop and adopt a standard procedure on the recruitment process.

We are working on a section on the organization's web page that deals with EVS projects and helps the recruitment process (presentation of the organizations, of the projects, description of the profiles of volunteers, presenting present EVS projects and volunteers, presentation of the volunteers who are working in our region, ensuring forum possibilities etc).

Because of the fact that we will participate in the recruitment processes of all EVS projects that are coordinated by us, we think that we can accumulate more experience and practical knowledge (beside the knowledge gained from trainings) on recruitment, and with this advanced knowledge we could help improving the quality of EVS projects in our region.

Tarefas:
In the first place we want to be a coordinator organization, secondly we would like to host volunteers to our projects. In our region there are quite a lot of NGOs covering a large scale of social problems and activities (social, youth, environment, culture, sports, education). These NGOs will provide the projects and the main possibilities for learning (the content of the learning process), and our organization will provide the learning support for these opportunities. Our mentors and collegues have the experience of trainership and pedagogy, and we have training experiences on providing learning support (ex. SOHO training course). So we can offer to volunteers learning opportunities in different field of life, and an enforced learning support.

The volunteers will have different roles in the Host Organizations, from being a project team member, a motivator for youngsters, to being a project manager, organizer. They can also develop their own project ideas after familiarizing with the needs of the target group of the different organizations.

The activities depend on the profile of the hosting NGO, we can say that there will be a large scale of activites with different age groups and social groups, but mainly youngsters. The volunteer could be involved in group activities with youngsters, in organizing media campaigns, fund raising and application writing, project management, media workshops, organizing free-time activities indoor and outdoor, sports, beeing a motivator for local voluntary activities, in organizing club activities, etc.
