Resumo: With more than 600,000 inhabitants, the city is on of the largest city in Germany. It is a city with a high quality of life, and has a thriving economy and excellent infrastructure. The city is also known for its importance as a center for the automotive industry in Germany.

The metropolis offers many attractions and countless cultural highlights. In the city exist a fantastic place that is well known nationwide by all those who like to stroll and go shopping. Major tourist attractions are the Opera House and the world famous Ballet. Several smaller theaters other places that provide further opportunities for cultural delights. Notable sights include the Gallery with its famous paintings, the House of Commerce and the House of History.

There are many other museums and exhibitions in and around the city, and the city also offers numerous cinemas, restaurants and bars. In spring and autumn large fairs take place at the Canstatter Wasen, and so there are many opportunities for young people to go out.

Perfil: The young person should be communicative and open to meeting new people. They should be creative, and should also have their own ideas and show initiative. Vocational or special knowledge is not nececcary. The volunteer should like to work in a team as well as on their own. We also offer the opportunity for the volunteer to create and implement their own project. The volunteer should possess working knowledge of the German language and should enjoy writing. The ability to work on a computer and use the internet would also be helpful.
The volunteers should have good organisational skills and be interested in learning about different processes in society. .

They should be responsible, open minded, creative, motivated, able to work in a team and they should have the ability to respond well in many situations.
We are open to working with any kind of sending organization.
Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: The volunteers will cooperate with the office team and receive assignments according to their skills. They should be able to acquire all the knowledge necessary to develop and implement projects themselves. After a certain induction period, volunteers will be placed in charge of their own projects.
The aim of this cooperation is to give the volunteer a professional insight into the drawing up of applications, the acquisition of sponsors and the implementation of projects. It should also enable volunteers to gain their own experience in this field.

The young person could, for instance, plan and organise a youth congress with participants from all ten twin cities, or develop and implement a photographic art project to travel across Europe. Another large project is the children's "play town", which is carried out in co-operation with many partners and businesses. This generates many opportunities for EVS volunteers, as we require project leaders from other European countries.
